  1. I want to run a Howell movement with six tables, but the players want more than 22 boards total. Can I specify 27 boards with three boards a round and add +howell+rounds9+ to get a 9x3 Howell, or will the BBO software reset to an 11x2 Howell but play only nine rounds to give a 9x2 movement?
  2. Thanks for the confirmation. I marked the inactive button to keep them from being listed.
  3. I use the BBO tournament auto-scheduler for our regular online games. I would like to delete some of them, but when I click the "delete" button it simply displays the tournament setup page for editing. How to I delete a scheduled weekly tournament in the auto-scheduler?

  5. Our game today did not start on time because one member of a pair was offline. After a few minutes the Director unregistered the pair and the game began. If the TD had started the game by deleting the +allavail+ command, would the game have started with the online/offline pair seated? If so, the TD could have seated a robot until the offline partner could get online.
  6. I often avoid subs when running my 299er game. For example, if I have 7 pair (3 1/2 tables), I will run a 7x3 Howell. Each pair gets one sitout, and each pair plays 18 boards. The sitout table gets an NP (no play). IMPORTANT NOTE HERE. Sometimes a pair having a sitout will not notice that they have a sitout and will go ahead and bid. At the end of the round BBO will ask you to assign a score. DON'T. Currently the Director can not assign an NP. If you assign A==, the sitout pair will get 50% for that board. Just dismiss the request to score the board and it will also get an NP assigned by BBO.
  7. Our virtual club wants to set up a "pro-am" game, in which we pair in advance a skilled player (the pro) with a lesser skilled player (the am). These pairs would then play in an open game in our virtual club game. The problem is how to set up the game so that only the pro-am players play in the game. We will certainly advertise it via email among our club players, but it seems there is always a pair that doesn't get the word. When we played f2f at our club, we could just inform the pair who showed up that we were having a special game and they couldn't play that day. However, online the unknowing pair could sign up to play. All I could do as a Director is to ask them to cancel their entry. If they refuse, there is not much more to do. Any suggestions on how to easily set up a game that restricts entry to the selected pro-am pairs?
