i thhink anyone playing in a game for money should have to show a profile. Especially when playing in a ACBL tournament

my problem is i dont always have the red button or explain line. no one has an answer Also if you in a tournament, you cant ask

i Play in many bbo and acbl tournaments but I dont have the alert nor explanation line. How do i get them on my screen. Making the screen larger by moving it down only makes the screen bigger..tks

?this doesnt help as it just makes the hands area larger. no button in the help site. any other suggestions? this is frustating, happens in the acbl tournaments also

ive have this problem on bbo and acbl tournaments and havent had the explanation line nor the red box. When i contacted bbo it took me about 3 wks for them to understand what I meant. finally they got it and said some weird explanation abouot only one person playing the game would have these items. But this also happens with acbl tournaments but they would never address this. I don;t know how to get an answer but maybe someone reading this can help.tks sue

if you look on the right side of your screen where it has messags, people etc you will see account go in there and change what you want. easy

I have been asking for profiles since I started playing here. They should be a must. Also the cc's dont tell you who has filled it out so that doesnt help at all.

this doesn't really solve the problem when your are playing to talk to the oppenents. They may make a bid you dont understand and want an answer. Or maybe say something nice to someone at the table. Don;t know how i can do it but he can't from the same computer. We do have different accounts but.....

again say - how do you add your name to the cc so opps know which one you are. I havent set mine up yet but i have my infl on my profile.

I sure opened up something. Where we play 1nt-2♠means to transfer to clubs. 1nt -♣means to transfer to diamonds. Just like the opp who thought everyone knew what a limit raise is. As far as reading the rules, no i don't spend time doing that but when there is a change , as i was told, it should be announced. Right after i posted my comment, there was an email from acbl speaksy. That explained it. It would be nice if that was always the case in a change. Tks for your comments.

recently while playing i bid a minor suit transfer to my partners open of 1nt - 2spades. the opponent wanted to know what it was. i said transfer and he asked again. i said transfer. he called the director on me and said there is a new rule that you must say to what suit you are transferring, Really? Why don't i just show him my hand. I dont know where the new rules are and dont want to spend my time looking them up,, Later an opp bid a limit raise and asked him to explain. he ignored me. I called the director and she said he needs to explain. He thought everyone knew that bid. Isn't there a way bbo can inform us to the new rules? there are so many players bidding strange bids and not going by the rules. And have nothing in their profile. Maybe in the 'messages ' they could inform us of the changes.

I hve said this many times but i feel all members should file out their systems and conventions in their profile. It is too hard to guess what their bids mean. There are 4 systems people are using and i would like to know which is theirs.

here's an instance where beginners shouldn't play in tournaments-I responded to my partners 1nt open with a transfer of 2ds and she left me there. Of course everyone was in 4h and making it. Very frustrating when you are trying to get pts and pay to play

i would have to agree about the level of play and the way some describe their ability. Many who say they are intermediary dont know some of the most common conventions and dont have profiles to note this fact. I have always thought a profile should be mandatory so a partner and opopenents can understand the bidding.
