  1. This has now been going on for 3 weeks. I am becoming increasingly frustrated. I have had at least 15 instances every session when I have to log in and out. If you are not going to deal with it, I am going to move all our Club Sessions to RealBridge. Our club spends a lot of money with BBO and we expect good service. This is poor service.
  2. No information from BBO or news of any action. One of the Clubs I direct for is now looking at moving their sessions to another provider.
  3. Last night was awful - I had to delay the session and got as many people playing as possible. We had players experiencing difficulties getting in and I had to spend 45 dealing with phone calls from upset players not able to play. I then got booted for 45 minutes which meant director calls were missed and adjustments not made. This complete lack of responses and answers from BBO is unacceptable. Other clubs are now actively looking at other providers and we will join them. BBO needs to get its act together and have the courtesy to tell its members what is going on. Otherwise, it will lose clubs.
  4. Last evening was our Club's busiest evening session and delayed the start of the session. A number of players couldn't get in getting the 'critical file message', as well as no mention of the rooms. Eventually, I managed to get our session started and then was promptly thrown out as Director for 45 minutes being unable to get back in. This is quite unacceptable and I am dismayed no-one from BBO seems to be contacting us or admitting there are problems. We clearly have a recurrence of the previous situation where things are not coping at 7 pm UK time which coincides with the start of afternoon sessions in the US. This problem has been happening since the clocks went backwards in the UK the other week, and there is no acknowledgement or messages being sent by BBO during the sessions or via the message system. I am raising this with our National Bridge Organisation as well. Something needs to be done urgently. BBO is starting to lose Clubs to alternate providers (we are going to look at them now as well) and unless things improve, we will have to consider moving away. I have had an iMac problem for several weeks and have posted messages on the appropriate forums, but again no reply. This lack of action/interest from BBO may cost it dearly in the long run.
  5. This is ridiculous. As director, I am locked out of my own tournament! BBO get this sorted. You have Children in Need Sims coming up this week. If you mess those, you'll lose clubs.
  6. For the last two weeks, I have noticed when I direct that if I leave a table, more often than not it does not take me back to the team list but gives me a blank screen. If I refresh I get a split screen with the director tabs moved to the centre. I then have to go through the rigmarole of having to completely log in and as soon as I visit a table I then have to go through it all again. This is really inconveniencing and shouldn't be happening. I am using an IMac which is up-to-date with the latest upgrades. I have put up with this for a fortnight now and it really needs to be addressed with some urgency. I am happy to send a screenshot of the split-screen I get.

  8. I used the +howell+ to set up a Howell movement for a SIM pair charity event last night. I'd used it the day before and it all went well with a clocked movement. Last night the system seems to have converted it to an unclocked movement (I don't use unclocked after previous problems) and this has caused major problems with the results for the SIM pairs as there were several instances where players played the same pairs twice. This is one of a number of bugs I've encountered when setting up / amending movements for our EBU virtual club. For example, trying to amend the clock can be tricky as it won't always put the right time in when you type it. For example on Monday, we had a mass disconnect of players and by the time we had got eeryone back, I needed to add three minutes to the clock. I went in and tried to increase from 8 to 11 but it cganed to 15 and then 44 and then back to 8. After about six attempts it worked. I'd appreciate some thoughts on the Howell movement problems.
