  1. Robots are not able to make a rational bid based on logic. The do so many crazy things trust is not an option. I have offered them free lessons but they declined, proof positive they must have huge egos. They even try to get a ruff in NT. They are able to add and subtract. And 100% when your side has 36 total points you are playing 7NT without even think about blackwood. The advanced robots are also sharp as a marble.
  2. The robots are clearly as dumb as dirt. I would have ended in 5!S as no Q of trump but the issue is 3NT is simply ridiculous.
  3. I am most certainly reaching game and this sort of looks like a place to blow off a S lead so I bid 2S and bounce to 5D. If we can avoid a S lead 5D should have a shot. Could easily be a 4 or 6 hand.
  4. Opening hand needs to bid 2D after the raise which will get them to a game. Passing 2C when partner has made a raise and likely has 4 or more D seems a soft view. I think 2C raise is sensible, after all if is possible partner could have just a 2 card suit in which case we could easily push too much if we were to show limit values for C. I would not be so happy if partner bid 3N.
  5. I can not imagine not showing this !S suit, this is the sort of hand that could easily produce 12 tricks
  6. This hand represents a t/o dble to me and I consider a 1!D o/c a foolish thought at any form of scoring.
  7. 5 clubs must be a better shot I think, after all you need !S shortness or something of value in !S. Even K 3rd in !S may be enough while in NT may be no help at all. The K of !D may also be enough with the expected !H lead. NT bidders perhaps in a pairs game but I dont beleive it will prove to be a winner often enough.
  8. The passed hand makes 1H an easy choice as a 4H bid makes slam no chance at all when you may make 13 tricks on a good day. Only takes AJ 5th of clubs on a S lead.
  9. 3H was a good bid which should have allowed them to reach 5D, 3N required partner to have an ace H along with 6 running D. We know partner has a stiff S 5D must be as good or better than 3N.
  10. I hand all the fault to the pass of 1!S. I think 1N is a poor choice although ok on values developing tricks could be a major problem so I like a simple raise of D, i do not think it could be worse than 4/3 fit. I might give 1NT consideration playing pairs, but not much.
  11. West is too good to pass the o/c and can bid 3H or 2N.
  12. I have no reason not to bid S, if partner has just 3 I expect them to bid something and then I can bid 4H. I expect to be in some major suit game and just dont follow the 3H bidders.
  13. it is my belief that a leap to 4S when balanced has to show decent trump support. After all partner is often going to bid game after a raise to 3 with any reasonable excuse. I would not usually bid 2NT with this hand but it really looks like the best rebid and can always reach 4S if we choose to bid 4S over a 3N bid from partner.
  14. having opened 2!C your partner has an easy 3!H bid and its hard to imagine not reaching 6
