Please oh please can we have a section in chat manager that would allow us to save alert descriptions! It would save a huge amount of time in speedball tourneys.

If I play on my IPad, I can see that I’m online in time for the tournament, but when the time comes to start, my partner says I’m offline and the tourney is cancelled. I swear my screen shows I’m on, and he’s on. Could a sub not come in? I find it very frustrating.

While I love Chat Manager as a way to quickly greet players, describe our system, I would dearly love a section for alerts. How much time is wasted in Speedball tournaments typing in alerts over and over again. Surely there is a way to set this up.

These have been disabled since last year. Are we ever going to be able to load them again? I know it’s a minor irritation, but I so miss being able to see friends’ faces! Please enable them again.

I agree. This has been out for weeks and weeks.

I find Chat Manager really helpful, and I would love to see BBO instigate an Alert Manager. This one, we could store alerts to be shown in the explanation section for a bid and not waste valuable time in typing them over and over.

There seems to be increasing confusion over when one should alert a bid rather than to announce a bid. Wouldn’t it be easIer for everyone that if an explanation of a bid Is given, it is automatically alerted? This way no one should be confused and it would decrease the amount of time lost in explaining, and re-explaining bids as nauseum ?
