  1. When the current host leaves a table what determines who the system makes host next?
  2. Hi, when you play a hand in the Casual Bridge section, I get that the scoring shows how you did against others who have played that same board, but from where and over what time period ? i.e Is score compared against others who have played that board in any section of BBO, or just the Casual section, and is it others who have played that board in the last 24 hours or what? Can anybody advise please.
  3. Hello, Aiming to setup a Teams match, for 4 pairs from our face-to-face Bridge Club to play. Under options it has then number of boards, if it says 8, does that mean you will get 8 boards then pairs swap and you get another 8 to complete the match, or does 8 mean you will get 4 boards then pairs swap and you get another 4 to complete the match? Please could anyone advise.
  4. We did exchange messages with the SkyClub director, who just kept saying we should have alerted AFTER the auction before the opening lead. We don't understand why? They generally play SAYC in SkyClub so I wondered if this was some strange American rule?
  5. Hello, My partner & I got a very good score reset on SkyClub for not alerting AFTER the auction, and I do not understand why. We Alerted a 2D opening, as we use 2D as a Multi; weak major or strong minor / NT. We explained that bid when asked. Opponents overcalled 2NT then bid 3NT unopposed. They went 3 off as only had singleton Qs and my partner's multi was made with a 6 card spade suit which I naturally led. Opponents called director who reset our score saying we should have also alerted before the opening lead was made? I do not understand this, and it would have made no difference to the play as we took 6 spade tricks off the top which declarer could do nothing about. Please can someone explain.
