  1. I have been using RealBridge for a couple of weeks and if it is reliable enough it will definitely appeal to many people over BBO. It is also cheaper. They also provide training and support (a phone number to call!)
  2. I notice a new Table Option "Allow Voice" has appeared when you create a tourney. Is this a new feature?
  3. I am trying to understand how Clocked vs Unclocked tournaments work. The https://blog.bridgebase.com/2020/04/02/the-virtual-club-manager-manual/ says Clocked = Mitchell Unclocked = Fastest pairs move to next round as soon as they complete the boards What does that mean, exactly? If you set the option to Unclocked, is the Minutes Per Board still used? In any movement a pair cannot move to the next table, until the new table has finished. So does unclocked mean that pairs will move as soon as the next table has finished? Will an EW moving pair leave a table so that the next EW can join, even if the first pair cannot join the next table? I have tried an unclocked game, but could not really see what exactly was different. Thanks
  4. We are a similar club, and I agree it seems more friendly to allow Undos. But we have had a few issues, and have been having some discussions about this. Currently we say: · It is possible in the event of a misclick to request an Undo. This should not be used if you have changed your mind about a bid or a play. You also should not request an Undo of a bid if your partner has already bid. Otherwise opponents should normally just accept an undo, but you can ask the director to take a look at the hand again, if you think afterwards that this may not have been a legitimate misclick. · To prevent misclicks you can change your BBO settings via: Account->Settings->Confirm Bids/Confirm Cards.
  5. Does anyone have any advice to give players to try to ensure all pairs are online when a tournament starts? I use the +allavail+ option and try to send out messages, reminding players to remain online as the tournament is about to start, but there are still sometimes some delays due to registered pairs not being online. Sometimes they are late logging in to BBO or have last minute Computer or Internet problems or something else???
  6. There are 6 sound options under settings: Shuffle cards....Round settings. Which, if any, of these apply to the new director call?
  7. Another simple, but useful feature for directors would be to show the table number when you are watching a table.
  8. Are there any BBO settings you need to turn on to get these Director Sound Notifications?
  9. You could use the bbo extractor software to create a pbn file of the hands http://www.mirgo2.co.uk/bboextractor/
