  1. Agreed it’s strange. However our members were indeed logging in to bridgebase.com (which was fine before the 11 May update) and trying to log in, but the log in screen would not load - appeared briefly then disappeared. Once Flash Player installed, no more log in issues.
  2. Hi Charlene Has the member got Flash Player installed on their PC? We found Our club members were logging in to an older version of BBO because they couldn’t log in to the updated version as they either didn’t have flash player or hadn’t updated it. Logging into an old version and clicking Casual doesn’t switch you to the casual server. They need to install Flash and connect to the updated BBO website. Resolved all the connection issues for us.
  3. Check you both have Adobe Flash Player installed (or updated) on your computer. Without flash player you will neither be able to log in to the updated version of BBO nor switch to the casual server. One of you has clicked casual and appears to be logged in but is actually stuck in main. When you click casual you should see a reappearance of the “BridgeBase Connecting please wait” message. If you don’t see that, you are still in main.
  4. The person hosting the table in the main section had clicked casual but had not In fact connected to the casual server. So you and everyone playing at that table didn’t have to click casual to join the table when they logged in. We have discovered that our club members who did not have Adobe Flash Player installed (or updated) on their PC were not connecting to the most recent version of BBO and therefore not able to switch to the Casual server. Suggest if this happens your friends check for flash player and also ensure they are logging in to the new BBO site. Good luck.
  5. A number of our club members have had issues connecting to the Casual Server following the 11 May BBO update. This is how we resolved the issue. Problem: You log in on a PC but are unable to connect to the new Casual server NB After log in, clicking Casual should connect you to the Casual server and you should see “BridgeBase Connecting, please wait”. If you don’t get this message, you will remain in the main BBO area and will be unable to communicate with friends “on the other side”. You won’t see their table invites and they don’t know you have logged in. Reason: we found our members were using an old version of Flash Player or did not have Flash Player installed on their computer. Solution: Install or update Adobe flash player on your PC. Google “Adobe Flash Player“. Choose the correct version for your computer operating system and browser. Install (or update), selecting Run when prompted.
