Thank you for the reply. I am getting closer, at least. It appears that the table has to be started first, in order to see the option to send messages to the Table and to the Kibbutzers. I now can send a chat to the table and all players seem to see the message in the Chat box almost instantaneously. That really is the main thing I’m looking for. However, I would like to be able to use the Private Chat as well on occasion, and that does not appear to work the same way. I have two opponents who I can log in as. When I send a Private message to one of them, I see the that message in my own Chat box immediately, but the other person receives it in the Messages tab under Email. However, it does not immediately appear. I have to try and refresh the screen by changing the tab in order for it to appear. When I try to send a Private message to a second user, I get the message – Cannot chat to player. Permission denied. I tried looking to see what differences might be in their respective Account Settings but did not see anything different. Additional guidance would be appreciated and, thanks again for the tip on messaging an entire Table.

When you select Casual, and then Start A Table, what is the difference between a Relaxed vs. a Competitive game? There is a great, pop-up box that sometimes displays after one bids that shows what that bid typically specifies. An example might be if I opened with 2 clubs, the box would say that I have either a Balanced Hand and 22+ HCP's or an Unbalanced Hand and 21+ HCP's. I see this sometimes, but sometimes not. Is there a way to turn it ON or OFF? Also, on this discussion forum, is there way to change preferences so the Option to Enable Email Notifications is checked by default? I don't know why you would not want to notified of a response if you created a topic.

I am trying to setup the Private Chat function. I enter a valid User Name after selecting the Private Chat option. I send a message to that User and I see the message in my Chat box, along with (User Name (Private): followed by the text of the message. The recipient is signed into BBO as well. She selects the Private Chat option and then enters my User Name. She does not see the message that I sent to her. When she sends a message to me, she sees that message in her Chat box, but I never receive the message. How do we get the Private Chat function to work? Also, is there such thing as a group Private Chat so, for example, you can setup a Chat with the two people whom you are playing against.

In BBO, I don't really understand the scoring that comes up when we play Casual bridge. Is there something that describes what that scoring refers to, either in BBO Help or in some type of You Tube video? Is there a way that we can request standard, Party bridge scoring be used instead? I think that is the way to describe it ... 100 pts for a game, over and under the line, Vulnerable, etc.

Thank you for the reply. I tried replying to the initial return email I received that told me to try You Tube. We'll see if I hear anything. Meanwhile, when I select Casual, and then the Random Deal option, Robot is not available to Select for the seats. I must key it in. When I select the 2nd, Vugraph option, then Robot is available to select. But like I said, even then, I am still seeing ALL of the cards for each player and when it is my turn, I don't have a selection box to be able to bid. I was able to do all of this just fine a couple of months ago.

Is bridgebase support permanently unavailable? My emails to support keep getting sent back telling my their busy and to check You Tube videos instead. Meanwhile, the system has changed since I last played about three months ago. I am trying to play with my wife against 2 robots but am having all sorts of problems. I paid for a basic Robot, but when I reserve seats for Robots, it tells me that they are offline. I also cannot get the cards to deal with a regular random deal. I have to select one of the Vugraph options. As if that is not enough, I now see ALL of the hands - not just my own. Not great for a competitive game. Plus even when my wife is able to bid, I cannot bid. It would be nice to be able to contact support.

My wife and I are new to BBO. We would like to first be able to practice against two robots. Is this possible? What is the best way for us to practice our bidding techniques? Are their aids that can help us know what our options might be for selected hands? Thanks.
