  1. I was wondering if someone could help me understand what would be the proper bidding sequence to persuade the robots to continue on the bidding in this situation. I also am having a hard time understanding why 5♥ is explained in this sequence as "no AK♦", which was evidently not the case. https://tinyurl.com/y7rav22v Thank you!
  2. I continue to use the Flash version as much as possible, but unfortunately for us stragglers, we will have to come to terms with Chrome and other browsers no longer supporting Flash in the future. I do not understand why the HTML version of BBO is so remarkably not user-friendly, this not merely being a consequence of being used to the older system. I will find myself frequently explaining to players how to change table settings, how to add convention cards, and, most importantly, how to undo. It seems that with this newer version, many of these options are well-hidden.
  3. Yes, it is probably due to the servers being overloaded; however, something should be done at least in regard to the tournaments that have entry fees--skipping boards, having to re-enter multiple times in a hand significantly disrupts game play for which we have payed.
  4. I was in the middle of a paid ACBL tournament today, when I was kicked from the game with an accompanying message: "Table Closing, Error #2032". What is this?
  5. I ran into this hand during a robot tournament recently: https://tinyurl.com/tzynqol The robot's cuebid of 4 hearts indicates an ace, however, as we can see here, the holding is Qx. What went wrong? Thanks!
  6. I am looking for a 2/1 bridge book. My friends and I have been playing casually for a couple months, and have decided to learn a system together in an effort to organize and standardize some of our bidding techniques. However, we are not all at the same level, so I would prefer something more "beginner style", rather than aimed at intermediate/advanced players. I have done some research on the subject, and found popular books by Audrey Grant, Mike Lawrence, and Paul Thurson. Also, I have already crossed Hardy off the list. Any recommendations?
