  1. I would suggest you consult the regulations of the jurisdiction you are playing in, rather than making up your own alert rules.
  2. Moat Lurker? I don't really understand your question, Moat Lurker has a Battlecry to destroy a creature, triggering its Deathrattle (e.g. Sylvanas dies and steals something), and then a Deathrattle to resummon that creature on the same side of the board as it was on previously (e.g. you get a new Sylvanas). You can get Moat Lurker back from N'Zoth but it won't "remember" which minion it destroyed so the Deathrattle of a N'Zothed Moat Lurker does nothing.
  3. Eh, I don't know about any fancy conventions like "LIPS" but I thought it was absolutely standard that 1NT-3♣-3♦ just denies a 5-card major.
  4. Well, last month I sucked it up and finally reached rank 5 playing tier 1 cancer (Aggro Shaman). This month, I might have found an even more cancerous deck. Flame Imp Malchezaar;s Imp Mortal Coil Power Overwhelming Soulfire Voidwalker Dark Peddler Darkshire Librarian Succubus Tiny Knight of Evil Demonwrath Imp Gang Boss Silverware Golem Fist of Jaraxxus Doomguard
  5. I see them here in Germany quite a bit too, I always assume people associate it with New York, not with baseball.
  6. I'd love a citation for this, in my admittedly small sample of playing poorly-hand-shuffled boards the distributions have certainly seemed flatter to me.
  7. The 2♥ overcall doesn't really serve a purpose at IMPs and this vulnerability, it would be automatic at w/r and justifiable at even. Of course it doesn't "disclose" the ♦Q but it does shift the probabilities in favor of it being with South. To be honest I can't see anything very special in the play of the hand.
  8. Couldn't read that, so for my own convenience... 9. Again it depends on the matchup. If your opponent is going to be able to answer with Doomsayer, that won't work out well for you, unless perhaps you have Ravaging Ghoul and Execute in hand and your opponent is unlikely to run other things you need to execute, etc.
  10. The only reason this is a problem is because people are bidding 1♦-1♥-1♠ with such a wide range of hands as 4243 and 4261. (And yes, Stefanie, this is absolutely standard.) The obvious solution is to play a system such as Transfer Walsh that clarifies your hand-type (balanced or unbalanced). Anyway, you've found a hole in the system, but I'm pretty sure it's smaller than the holes that can be found in the alternative system (4th suit invitational).
  11. I've not seen Harrison in a long time, I would play axe usually (but it depends on the rest of your hand).
  12. I know, but I don't believe in Reno Shadowform. I really can't imagine making do with only one of: Doomsayer Shadowform Excavated Evil Holy Nova Darkshire Alchemist and I find it sketchy at best to have only one SW: Pain. Plus, my big removal package (that doesn't require already having upgraded Shadowform) is 2 each of SW: Death, Entomb and Holy Fire - you won't usually need all of them but having enough in the deck increases the consistency of having one when you need it. (And yes, I know that Reno Shadowform runs 2 Shadowform and sometimes even 2 PW: Shield but.... that just makes it even more wildly inconsistent, doesn't it?)
  13. Somehow I enjoy ladder play most at the beginning of the month. Most of the tryhards are either in the single-digits already or are waiting a week before they start, and you get to play against serious but off-meta decks. I played against Dragon N'Zoth Rogue and N'Zoth Druid today. With what deck? Glad you asked. I went 10-12 with this monstrosity: 2 Power Word: Shield 2 Shadow Word: Pain 1 Acidic Swamp Ooze Bloodmage Thalnos 2 Doomsayer 1 Flame Juggler 1 Garrison Commander 2 Shadow Word: Death 2 Shadowform 2 Tournament Medic 2 Excavated Evil 2 Holy Nova 2 Darkshire Alchemist 2 Entomb 2 Holy Fire 1 Cabal Shadow Priest 1 Kodorider Prophet Velen Soggoth the Slitherer I'm pretty sure one of the late-game cards needs to be changed into a second Flame Juggler (other 2-drops I considered: Boneguard Lieutenant. 2-drops for Priest are pretty sad.) to give me a more consistent early game, but I can't quite decide which one. And don't say Soggoth, Soggoth is MVP versus Mage, Rogue and Control Warrior.
  14. What actually happened: I played Worgen and inner raged the Spellbender. Facelessed the Antonidas, hit opponent with rampaging charging Antonidas, finished him with 2 fireballs next turn. It didn't end up being terribly hard/complicated but it's a good mental exercise to run through in max. 60 seconds...
  15. Find the Lethal Special Edition, featuring Mage Secrets! Your opponent has: A damaged Archmage Antonidas (5/2) on the board A secret they got off of Cabalist's Tome 24 Life You have: A 3/1 Fiery War Axe equipped Enough Life + Armor to survive next turn if necessary No cards left in your deck, and the following cards in hand, all discounted once by Emperor Thaurissan: Raging Worgen Inner Rage Charge Rampage Faceless Manipulator Fiery War Axe Loot Hoarder Plan to kill your opponent this turn or next turn for any possible secret. You may assume they have no taunts or heals (Tempo Mage, both Mirror Images have been used).
  16. I was assuming he meant millikilograms.
  17. Really... all the butchers I have ever been to will generously cut you somewhere between 550g and 600g and ask "is that alright?" :P
  18. Today, Erdogan enacted the Reichstag Fire Decree.
  19. It would, if the Turkish military command had been behind it. However, it seems like only a minority of the military was involved in the coup. Perhaps they overestimated how much support they would garner once they started. I think you've got your timeline wrong, both 3. and 4., in my estimation, happened well after the coup had essentially failed. Obviously it would have been best if they had kidnapped Erdogan immediately (or assassinated, not sure about that), but failing that, they should have taken control of all the main TV stations simultaneously. Instead, they took over TRT to make a statement, and soon after, Erdogan was able to rally his followers on CNN Türk. They then made a belated attempt to take over CNN Türk, meanwhile FOX Turkiye and others were broadcasting the whole time and Erdogan called into those stations as well. All in all, pretty amateurish. Also, to your point 2, I have seen no evidence that Erdogan was ever outside of Turkey during the whole thing.
  20. Brexit seems to have had quite the impact on UK Academia already: https://www.theguardian.com/education/2016/jul/12/uk-scientists-dropped-from-eu-projects-because-of-post-brexit-funding-fears
  21. I'm going for rank 5 in, uh, any month. In the 5 seasons I've played so far, my highest finish has been rank 6. My tryharding has been mostly with Gromless Patron Warrior and Tempo Mage (not the very fast version that is currently popular, a more grindy one), though I've got some Vek'lorless C'thun Druid and Doomhammerless Shaman mixed in there, too. For this season I crafted myself a Leeroy to play Zoo (for some reason I hate playing Doomguard Zoo), it's just winstreaked (65% winrate) me to rank 11 which is, I think, a decent place to be this time of the month. Also added it to a Pirate Warrior I threw together around the end of last season and won 56% with, though I'm not sure it's actually better than the Southsea Captain it replaced (and I would replace it with Captain Greenskin in a heartbeat if I opened that). Nevertheless, I play for fun so gotta mix in those janky decks every now and then. ;)
  22. Well, I think I like control best actually, but it's either too expensive or, well, Priest-tier. Control Priest is my most-played deck since I started keeping stats about a month ago, dat 48% winrate though... For your druid list, I'm missing not just Fandral but also Malygos, Alexstraza and Yogg so... yeah. ;)
  23. Raging Worgen Warrior hasn't been working well lately, so I built a new deck. Try it out, it's fun. ;) 2 Backstab 2 Preparation 2 Shadowstep 1 Leper Gnome 1 Doomsayer 2 Eviscerate 2 Sap 2 Shiv Bloodmage Thalnos 2 Loot Hoarder 2 Fan of Knives 2 Shadow Strike Brann Bronzebeard 2 SI:7 Agent 2 Unearthed Raptor 2 Azure Drake Emperor Thaurissan 1 Sprint Edit: changed second Sprint into a Doomsayer.
  24. Yes, exactly. Crafting is the only way to get them. (And they are rare, BTW, 100 dust each.) Turns out Mill Rogue is pretty frustrating to play, though. Had a freeze mage dead to rights after I responded to his Alexstraza with Brann + Healbot, but it turns out in Wild they still run Antonidas and both of my Coldlights were in the bottom 7 cards of my deck... The dust is not wasted though, wild Control Priest is up next!
