Possibly GIB has more confidence in your defending skills than in mine.....

This is a basic bidding sequence: 1x-dbl-rdbl It show we have the majority of points, and some interest in playing doubled. On BBO the explanation is "opponents cannot play below 2NT undoubled". So far so good. I've had this sequence many times, and often at a later stage I double the opponents for penalties. I cannot remember a single time that GIB let it in. Every, EVERY time it runs away from my penalty double. I am now half-convinced this is hard-coded into GIB (directly or implicitly). I'd welcome a hand that proves me wrong...

Hi, When I play an automatic tournament, sometimes I get an adjusted score (if the play is too slow). If this happens at the last board, the tournament result sometimes (always?) shows an "A" score of 50%, rather than the adjusted score (even if I check back/refresh a bit later), which can be a bit frustrating and seems to be a bit of a bug....?

Hi, Thanks for checking this out. Of course, the devil would have it that one hour after posting I had a mishap and missed a tournement (#4992), so actually my statistic should have been better. Anyway, it still sounds like a lot of tournements missed, so here's a follow up question: if I am dummy in the last board, and leave tthe table, does that count as a incomplete tournament (this might be part of the problem)?

Hi, Somehow my Tournament Completion Rate is set/stuck at 89. I don't know how that happened, it is very, very rare for me not to finish a tournament. My board completion rate is set at 100 (....). Just to try things out, I did three free Express automated tournaments yesterday, completed them all, and m TCR was unchanged at 89. All of this is annoying, as I'm getting kicked out of (free) tournaments. Or maybe I just don't understand how this works..... Thanks!

Hi, I just changed over to a new laptop computer, and can't login to BBO (new version) because the LOGIN button is greyed out and not working. The "become a member" and Watch Anonymously buttons are Blue and working fine. I have this problem on all browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, all on Windows 10). Any suggestions? Is there a browser plug-in I need to have ("obviously" not the Flash plug-in, so I understand) Thanks!

Hi, Does anyone know whether the GIB robots play (or are supposed to play) mixed cue-bids, or first round control cue-bids? My robot-partner bid a cue-bid, which the 'hover-over' explanation claimed was an Ace. He turned out to have Kx, and the small slam went down one. So an obvious mismatch. Moreover, the "standard GIB" system card downloaded from the BBO websites doesn't mention anything on cue-bids (could be I missed it: I'm not from the US and always get a bit lost on those US-style convention cards.....) It's the kind of misunderstanding I prefer to have only once with any partner.... (sorry, I ended up in the wrong forum category. Don't know how to fix). Thanks! JR

Hi, It would be nice if you could see a bid explanation for a pass. Sometimes you want to know whether a pass is forcing or not, and/or you'd like to know what a pass specifically denies. For example: in a support double situation: does a pass explitely deny a 3-card support, etc. Just a suggestion. Thanks!

It would be really nice to be able to challenge more than one friend at the time (i.e. compare three - or more - scores, rather than just two).
