(see above) I wrote that after 1♠ - 2 ♦ ; 3♦ - ?? 3♥ SHOWED a ♥ stop but denied a ♣ stop otherwise Responder would bid 3NT I then went on to propose what Responder bids with a ♣ stop but NO ♥ stop ( a much more difficult problem) Perhaps you should re-read the "complete nonesense" a little more dispassionately Kvetcher

Where have you been Luis? This "problem" was solved a long time ago - stick around for the miracle cure to the "Luis Endplay" situation BTW did you invent this "situation?" Over 3♦ a) With ♥ stop Responder bids 3♥ with ♥ stop but NO ♣ stop (else 3NT) b)With NO ♥ stop Resp bids 3♠ showing EITHER 1) 3 card Spade support OR 2) ♣ stop but NO ♥ stop Opener assumes 2) and bids 3NT with ♥ stop Responder either passes with 2) or corrects to 4♠ with 1) Its not exclusively a 2/1 Problem! ALL systems including Polish ♣ have a problem when, by virtue of the suit ranks or opposition intervention, bidding space is curtailed there's hope for us all then! ;) kvetcher

Hello I'm interested in developing a bidding system based on a Mini NT with "Nightmare" Multi 1C plus other Nightmare 1-level suit openings. ( 5CM of course!) If you have considerable practical and theoretical experience of Mini NT and Nightmare - perhaps not combined in one system - and can push the pasteboards around OK - then perhaps we could get together for a few hands on OKB or BBO to see if we are reading from the same page and have the makings of a reasonable partnership. Please send your ideas and thoughts on what lines the system could be developed. kvetcher
