  1. I tried the new interface yesterday and found it absolutely inconvenient for the bidding practice mode. The most frequently used buttons - GIB, Redeal and Rollback (or maybe Undo? - I'm not sure if my translation of the last word to English is correct because I can't even switch language from Russian to English, there is no such option) - are not on the desktop, but are available only from the menu. It's impossible to practice bidding under such conditions. Upd: I've just noticed that my comment is almost exactly the same as the previous. So it's "Undo", not "Rollback". :)
  2. Thank you for the analysis. Is there any flag in the DB record indicating that it was a randomly generated hand, not a hand from the Vugraph? Maybe the Vugraph hands are ok, and randomly generated ones aren't?
  3. Well, the only thing I want is to play really random hands, and I think it’s much easier for admins than for me to perform this analysis but, of course, I will also proceed with it if necessary.
  4. Perhaps the problem with random hands generator does exist. I play in a relaxed bridge club and when creating the table I always choose the option “random hands” without any additional parameters. But I often hear from my opponents that they do not want to play on EW, because EW always have weaker hands than NS. I wanted to prove them wrong, and analyzed the last 50 hands played by me. Unfortunately, the statistics are on their side: in 50 cases, the total amount of HCP on N is 485, on S - 490, on W - 424, and on E - 441. I understand that 50 hands is not a sufficiently representative sample, nevertheless it makes you think ...
  5. Thank you for your message and your advice. I've browsed the Partnership Desk forum at BridgeWinners several times and found posts almost only from American players looking for a real-life partnership. I'm afraid that my post may look odd there but maybe I'll try.
  6. It's a funny question for me because it's exactly about the system which I created some years ago and continue playing it now. :) 1♣ = 12-15 balanced (including any 5332) / 12-15 unbalanced with clubs / 12-15 3-suited without diamonds 1♦ = 12-15 4+♦ unbalanced without 5-card majors 1♥ = 16-21 4+♥ 1♠ = 16-21 4+♠ 1NT = 16-21 balanced without 4-card majors 2♣ = 16-21 unbalanced 4+♣ without 4-card majors 2♦ = 16-21 6+♦ without another 4-card suits / 22-24 balanced 2♥ = 10-15 5+♥ unbalanced 2♠ = 10-15 5+♠ unbalanced 2NT = GF (22+ unbalanced / 25+ balanced)
  7. I'm posting here once again still hoping to find some people who are not satisfied with playing with random partners without any agreements. I still hope that bridge hasn't yet become an individual game and that people who agree with me exist. BTW, having played a significant number of hands with random partners against random opponents I must admit that I underestimated my skills - I'm not intermediate, I'm at least advanced among those players whom you can find at random tables. So please contact me if you're interested in playing a well-developed system and having clear agreements about most bidding situations.
  8. Please start another topic to discuss any specific system. This topic is only for finding partners.
  9. I sent you a PM more than a week ago. Please check you mailbox. I'm available to play if you give me a detailed description of your system.
  10. As I see most of you have your own bidding systems but I suppose not all of you have partners to play them with. Since I'm in the same situation I offer to those of you who are interested kind of "system exchange" - I mean I can be your partner to test, develop and play your system on BBO as far as you agree to do the same for me. I'm not an expert but I'm an experienced player so it's not a problem for me to learn and play any kind of system (though my system is more simple and natural than most of ones posted here). Please contact me if you're interested.
