I voted for 4C anyway.

This last hand is (almost) impossible. parnter would bid 4NT instead of 5D.

On average (or probability), 6D is the right choice.

If you play xyz, 1m-1M-1?-3M shows self-sufficient M (at most one loser). 1m-1M-1?-2D-?-3M, not so great (but 6+)M

Believe it or not, I chose 6♦, with controls on every side suit.

same here. I have all the side Aces and precious HQJx support. 3S? what do you expect to hear from pd, who doesn't have any side ace, and lack of HQJ?

3D was too much, with void in pd's suit and 13 HCP (though D suit was decent). 3H after 3D was not good either, which also contradicts 4C after 3N: since you determined to introduce C at 4 level, why not immediately? 3H and then 4C didn't show much extra info. Instead, it distorted the hand, telling at least 6-4 in H-C. The auction had better go like: 1D-1H-2D-3C-3D-3S-3N-4D...6D.

Now that 2C is 100% GF, I would rebid 2H.

Sorry, I almost forgot this thread. At the table I reasoned: I have support for either of the minors, and Qx support for H. If pd has 6 H and 5 m, we might belong to 4H. If pd has 6 m and 5 H, we might belong to 5m. If pd 5-5 and minor is D, we might belong some level of D, but 5-5 and C, we might belong to 4C only (or dbl if opps bid on). So, ....... I dbled, trying to ask pd where we should land on. And pd PAAAAAASSED with x, AJxxx, x, AKQxx. Opps made 3SXed while we had 5C.
