I finished my match vs. prasanna, and I'm confident I'll finish my two remaining matches against pio_magic and hrothgar in time. At this moment, I've challenged them and I'm waiting for them to accept. Earlier on, when this event started out, pio_magic already challenged me but we agreed to play it a later stage since I was inundated with challenges at the start. And I, for one, do not like playing 60 boards in 3 days vs. the bots.

I like this, as long as we keep on rotating the original and new format(s) to keep things spicy, if we include the daylong-style tournament to include the entire field in ideally 1 group or perhaps the old multiple groups format. My idea (and perhaps it's exactly the same as you're intending, I'm not sure) is to let all contestants play the same 100 boards. The best 16 go on the next stage. This works like a charm for creating reasonable IMP and MP results and prevents the randomness of BAM smerriman was afraid of earlier in this thread. On the IMPs/MPs discussion: I'm strongly in favor of giving MPs (BAM) a chance. I think the 5:1 challenge event ratio (IMPs:MPs) is a bit ludicrous and an example of the tyranny of the majority. (60-70% voted for IMPs in each poll, so IMPs won every time until this poll.) We all know GIB isn't able to bid intelligently. He's hardly able to signal at all, but at least we are all more or less able to count. That's why I support a format driven by skill in card play (MPs) than a format consisting of throwing random darts at a board aka bidding with GIB (IMPs).

Well, I play 1NT as NF and up to 11 and never with fit. Not playing Gazzilli, with my regular partners 3H shows a GF hand with 4+H so I assume 1S-1NT; 3H-3S would show a doubleton S and 3-H (4m being cues for H) and 1S-1NT; 3H-4S would show a splinter for hearts (though it is terribly high and you bypass the 'safe' 4 level).

Done. Best bidding sequence: (1♣) - p - (1♥) - 7NT dbl a.p. GIB alerted my 7NT as unusual NT! :D Results: 15 doubles, 1 made --> I played one 7NT (12 top tricks) and made it on a red suit squeeze.

Unfortunately, I sent chuck11 a challenge for the 4th set with the box 'best hand' checked. Apparently you can't delete challenge requests with persons marked as friend yourself, so I have to wait for chuck11 to reject the request and issue the correct one himself. Of course, I immediately sent him a message in-game so hopefully he won't play the wrong boards.
