  1. Hello, Auto collapse is enabled. Meaning, every time someone clicks on a new menu item, you cannot find your way back. Here is specifically what I am referring to: BRIDGE BASE ONLINE HELP <Scroll to bottom and Click "Bridge Base Online Help" Again> PLAYING Getting a Game <Scroll to bottom and Click any of the five sub-menus. For example, "Help me find a game"> You will now never be able to go back to the menu which had the five options or the one which had the one with PLAYING on it without starting ALL OVER AGAIN from the BRIDGE BASE ONLINE HELP. The reason why is because AUTO COLLAPSE is ENABLED on this set of menus. AND / OR you have the BACK BUTTON turned OFF. I'm not there behind the scenes looking at the programming, but I'm pretty sure this is a starting point. I'm sure you made the decision intentionally. Maybe not to confuse people? I'm not sure, but I know this: I could never find my way back to the screen I was just at, which is atypical for web surfing _in my experience ONLY_. I personally would change it. My business website is not designed as the BETA BBO is currently, and I would consider the pros / cons of web navigation and ease-of-use, if you want professional opinion. Ultimately, the decision is yours. Good luck.
  2. I have repeatedly reported this issue to John_W_a_B and was finally deferred to Diana_Eva this evening. Over the last few months, I have learned that "ALLOWING KIBITZERS" effects whether BOTS can immediately join a table if a person leaves mid-game. Therefore, I always insure that this is checked when I am hosting before I contact a host. WEST left the seat and for about a minute a BOT did not populate. During which time, EAST left _AND_ I contacted BOTH John_W_a_B and BBO_Help. (I later discover that he is doubling as both. LOLOLOL Like that's so cool: I always wondered if there was something like that going on behind the scenes. ROFL. A fake-out ( N O T ) ) ANYWAY. Someone finally joins. Diana ends up relaying that there's something about BOTs will join "IF AVAILABLE" rather than they will join definitively if a person leaves mid-game. Now, folks, which is it and WHY? I know this isn't the same environment as MSFT's MSN Games, which is where I used to play bridge before BBO, and BOTS replaced humans instantaneously. What's going on with a "finite" number of BOTs? Is this related to the fee structure? The platform? Space? Are we thinking outside of the box to solve this? I've been after John for three months. At first, he didn't understand it. Then I found out it was dependent on the kibitzing. Diana has mentioned tournaments, but that can really be managed too with programming and TDs. I've is just never heard of a pre-determined amount of BOTs. It's like the BOTs aren't running on real time but the game is. The BOT placement is only running through a sequence: like there is a background program running that is checking table by table saying, "Do you need a BOT? Does this table need a BOT? What about this table? Is this table in need of one? And this one? And so on..." Instead, as soon as someone leaves, it should be triggering a script to be pulled from the library to go through the necessary questions. (Such questions: Is the game in session? If so, populate NOW. End SCRIPT. Are there three other players? Is it time to charge someone BBO $$$ ? And so on... It shouldn't take long AT ALL.) I'm not perfect. Just trying to play bridge without this nuance and trying to brainstorm. Thanks, "gerardo or uday" :) . GoobPrtner
  3. With Kibitzing enabled, as players leave, the BOTs are not joining the table. This effects the board completion rate. When I informed the BBO HELP this evening via another user, he/she completely blew me off and WOULD NOT report this to BBO. He / she complained about having to manage six tables at once. It was ridiculous. I started out with THREE OTHER PLAYERS this weekend at a table. Then as a hand progressed, each left, and no BOTs came at the table. KIBITZING was indeed enabled. So, that is NOT the problem. I asked this evening if a scenario like this effects my BOARD COMPLETION RATE. He / she said, "Yes." I said, "Well, BBO is trying to make $$$ in order to keep from my board completion rate from lowering." BBO HELP was defiant and combative. I repeated that this was NOT what had happened. He / she expected me to STOP and report it MID-GAME to this forum. I was, like, MIDGAME? When I am counting and in a strategy? (Perhaps that was why the players were leaving!?) Anyway. BBO HELP looked at the userID I was logged in at. It was not 88%. It was a different ID. He / she started arguing about that then. I brought up the fact that I was a PAYING member (with the other ID). He / she REFUSED to report this to you and to facilitate resolution. I asked if he / she knew the people at BBO. Admittedly, she / he said, "THOUSANDS." (quote) STILL, he / she would not take care of this. I repeated to her / him (19:45 CST, GMT -6, on 20 MARCH 2016) that it would be better handled by her / him. If I get involved and if I think that someone I am essentially paying could more effectively handle it, I will mention that there was a breakdown in efficiency and a performance problem.... Thanks.
