As long as bbo does not provide a methodology for determining the skill level, everybody is free to choose any option. There are Beginners with 5000+ logins... If after 5000 logins you are still Beginner, than it's something very wrong... :) More disappointing is when you see Yellow Stars playing lousy. And the stars are given by bbo itself... No further comments :) So, regardless your (self-awarded) skill level, any decent person on bbo will face BIG issues in finding a decent partner. For example 2 of my partners simply refuse to use bbo due to the low REAL (not that self-awarded) skill level of the players. Others more permissive, like myself, continue to hope that one day will find one of the 5% gems hidden among 95% mediocrity... Because how can you call players not able to detect even a Blackwood or a takeout dbl... Can we talk anymore about skill levels in these conditions? A very good option for bbo is to award the skill levels based on a quiz, when you register and anytime later. It would be also fun, not only very useful... Coming back to systems... Out of your options, I will choose without hesitation Precision. In my opinion, out of all systems, any Strong Club (not only Precision) gives you the biggest pleasure to play bridge.
