BBO changing time when you cannot start free tournaments from 19.00 to 17.00 CEST by editing the time in that link. I hve played against these three robots: Funbridge gib and w5 It feels like w5 has the strongest cardplay and funbridge the weakest bidding. Funbridge too often makes ridicoulus sacrifices that leads to -1400 and such. So my rating 1. W5 2. Gib 3. Funbridge

But I want to play with humans and not robots but I dont want to have to deal with jerks like steve2005 above. There needs to be incentive for people to stay and continue the board.

What kind of rude answer is that. How do you know what other people want.

Im a gamer and I have played lots of games on the internet. We all know how hard it is to find a good game on BBO, either the players arent of your skill level, they are being rude or they leave in the middle of the hand. So I started to think if there could be a game mode that I would like to play and I came up with this: 1. You should just search for a game and once you find 4 players of the same skill level the game will start. Which will hopefully be very fast once alot of players are playing this game mode, 2. All the player names should be hidden and no chatting and no observers allowed. And there should be only a few basic conventions that are already standard on bbo, like standard carding 2/1 stayman and transfers after 1nt opening, jacoby and 0314 blackwood. 3. The player who are becoming dummy will immidiatly enter the pool again, because it is boring being dummy so he will start a new game instead. 4. There will be a hidden rating system never showed to the players, that the system will you to match the players of similar skill level. If a player dont want to get matched again automaically after the game they will have to press a button that this will be my last hand. And if players consistently leave in the middle of the hand they will lose the hidden rating and they will betold that they will be matched with other leavers if they continue. And if they still leave will be flagged and be paired with other leavers as a punishment for a week. A bot will take over if another players leave. 5. There will also be a clock running and lets say you have 30 sec for each action and if your time runs out you will lose double rating and a bot will take over. This is a gamemode I would like to play on BBO.

I am against psyching against new players, because it might scare away new players if more experienced players psych against them. The new players might feel cheated.

I have been thinking about this hand. Lets say that first trick is played very fast and declarer at once plays the jack of spades to get information who has the queen of spades. If west hesitates then he will let the jack run and call TD and asking the result to be changed claiming law 73. If west needs time to think through the hand how he should signal trick two, it might be suitpreference like here, if he should give honest count, if he can afford to give honest count or against no trump what smith echo signal he should give. What of these alternatives do you think east-west can/should use to prevent declarer doing the trick to play trick 2 instantly to get information if he should finesse, described above: 1. Third hand can always think trick 1 even when he has no bridgereason to do so and declarer cannot call td and claim law 73. 2. Third hand should always play trick 1 upside down to give the defence time to think. 3. Declarer is not allowed to play trick 2 until both opponents has turned their card upside down. And if he does that can the defence call TD and claim what?

I think that Fisher, Schwartz , Fantoni and Nunes all should lose their BBO Stars.

There is a big problem in Bridge on BBO that people use the tempo to convey a message. Which often means I have a problem and people can draw conclusions because of that, which is problematic both in the bidding and play according to the current bridgelaws. So I propose the following change to the BBO software: Both in the bidding and in the play: When it is your turn to play you get to see all three cards at once or all three bids at once. And not like now when you can clearly see whose turn it is to play and bid. This change will get rid of tempocheaters and people who vary their tempo, but has no intention of cheating, but it is still forbidden to think in some cases like with a singleton.
