  1. IF DIAMONDS ARE LED, WE COULD LOSE A DIAMOND BUT THE QC IS ONSIDE SO NORTH MADE (7H)
  2. YOUR HAND S: 9832 H: 8 D: KJ98 D: QJT9 THE BIDING EAST PARTNER WEST YOU 1S 2S* P ?
  3. NORTH HAND S: 983 H: AKQ98 D: 32 C: K93 THE BIDDING NORTH SOUTH 1H 3S* (SPLINTER) 4C 4S* (VOID) ?
  4. BY REBIDDING (4H), NORTH SHOWED THIS HAND S: KJ9 H: AQ984 D: 32 C: Q32 WITH NO INTEREST IN SLAM. SOUTH ALREADY SHOWED HIS HAND SO HE IS NO LONGER THE CAPTAIN OF THE BIDDING.
  5. NORTH HAND S: 932 H: AKQ98 D: 32 C: K98 THE BIDDING NORTH SOUTH 1H 3S* (SPLINTER) ?
  6. South Hand S:VOID H: 87432 D: AQ3 C: KJ984 THE BIDDING NORTH SOUTH 1H 3S* (SPLINTER) 4H ?

  8. MY HAND S: AKT85432 H: AKQJT D: VOID C: VOID IN MY EARLY DAYS OF BRIDGE I THOUGHT I NEEDED (22 HCP) TO OPEN (2C) WITH THIS HAND. (12 SURE TRICKS DIDN'T SEEM ENOUGH) THE BIDDING ME OPP PARTNER OPP 1S P 1NT P ? I KNEW THAT I SHOULD DO SOMETHING DRASTIC TO DESCRIBE THIS HAND SO I UP AND BID (7H). ONE OPP DOULED BECAUSE HE HAD TWO ACES AND SOME (KINGS). PARTNER PASSED BUT IT DIDN'T REGISTER TO ME THAT HE PREFERRED HEARTS TO SPADES, SO I PANICKED AND BID (7S) WHICH THE OPPONENT DOUBLED. I CAN'T MAKE (7S) BECAUSE SPADES BROKE (J94) (Q3). WEST LED THE (AD) RUFFED BY ME AND I LED THE (ACE OF SPADES). WEST THOUGHT NOONE WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO BID (7S) WITHOUT THE (AKQ) OF SPADES SO HE "FALSE CARDED" THE (JS). MY (KS) DROPPED THE (QS) AND MY (TS) TOOK THE (9S) SO I MADE (7S*). PROBABLY MOST FOLK JUST BID (4S) OR (6S) MAKING SIX.

  10. More than one person at our Local Club opened (3S) with this Hand. http://https//sites.google.com/site/aabluelines/home/photo-e I opened (1S) and partner Splintered to (4D). After asking for Key Cards we ended up in (6S). Opponent didn't lead his (AH) we we made (7S). The hand didn't get shuffled so next week everyone played the same hand a second time and both nights only two pairs got to (6S). All four hands: https://sites.google.com/site/aabluelines/home/photo-f What do you think of preempting with the South Hand? No wonder that these folks can't get to slam. RESULTS MAY 24 http://https//sites.google.com/site/aabluelines/home/photo-g RESULTS MAY 31 https://sites.google.com/site/aabluelines/home/photo-h
  11. Frist hand Second hand My question is how would the partners bid these hands to arrive at 7NT other than just gambling that they have the right cards? Results: https://sites.google...es/home/photo-c
  12. How would I figure out this link on my own? I don't see any url at the top of the page or anywhere else. thanks
  13. Question: If I want others to read the comments on this topic on BBO Forums, what link do I send them? Thanks, Quikwal
  14. [hv=pc=n&s=s9642hq87532d7cjt&w=sj7h64dat965ckq64&n=sak3hakjd8432ca32&e=sqt85ht9dkqjc9875&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=1ddp1hp1n2d2hpp3dppdpp]399|300[/hv] E-W were only down one while N-S can make (4H). North thought that South had underbid the hand and with no defence at all against (3D), South should have pulled the double. However if they ended up in (3H) it would have been worse than (3D*) down one (200). Some folks thought that North should bid (2D) instead of (1NT) and I thought about that because North does not have a stopper in diamonds. Some thought that North should raise to (3H) instead of doubling. Any comments are welcome.
