  1. I think Cyberyeti's line is best. I don't see much else to play for other than setting up clubs, which you must do before you lose a spade trick. You just need to play spades for 1 loser. EDIT: After further thinking, I guess you're also worried about losing the spade to east and conceding another ruff. Maybe A!s and low to the Queen, but this might just be me thinking double dummy here.
  2. If I'm not mistaken, you're basically playing 2/1, which is a very common system among players on BBO. For the most part, you should have no issue playing with any partners that are familiar with "standard" 2/1.
  3. I'd pass. But as Cyberyeti says, I would give some consideration to 1NT.
  4. Bidding sequence was: p-p-2♣-3♥-? What is the meaning of double here? Is it penalty or negative (showing spades)? Would it imply strength either way?
  5. I've noticed while playing with GIB recently that it will often splinter directly over a 1-NT opening. Is the point of this just to give the opener a chance to run to a suit-contract if they don't have a stop in the bid suit? Otherwise, I feel like this just gives the opponents an obvious suit to lead. Is this just a peculiarity of GIB or is this something that high-level bridge players actually use?
  6. I'd open 2♠ on hand one. I'd pass hand two, especially vulnerable.
  7. [hv=pc=n&s=s4hkj63d3cakq9875&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1cp]133|200[/hv] I was playing a robot tournament with GIB this evening, and came across this interesting hand. IMP's. NS are vulnerable. After North opens 1♣, what do you bid? Do you show your hearts right away, or just jump raise in clubs? Or something else?
  8. 1. I think ideally I'd like to be in 3 or 4 Clubs. I wouldn't be upset in 3NT, but I don't see an easy way to get there. 2. Probably: p p 2♥ 2♠ p 3♣ p p That's a pretty ambitious 3♣ bid though...
