Any suggestions for the best book, or books, on how to improve my game, that would be compatible with the way the game is played by most people on here ?

I am new to the site, and I have a question regarding chat. When other players chat during games, I see, for example "hotdog - Table". How do I get my name to appear so that other players know who is chatting ?
