  1. Great idea. The other item to add would be bidding system. You have to check profiles during a game, and if there was some way to say join a SAYC game, or other common system, the some conflicts could be avoided. Also skill level can be misleading. Many of the players here do not bid/play like many of the ACBL partners I play with, which also causes conflicts. I'm not sure how to address all of it, but more options like skill level, bidding system, etc. might help.
  2. I've been reading Mike Lawrence's book on takeout doubles, and since this seem strange to me, decided to take a look for it. He actually had a section on doubles over reverses and strong jump shifts. The summary is that it's unusual and rare, is usually a poor bid, and has to be of the lead directing/penalty variety.
  3. It's really help me find a partner that's needed. Bidding system is a first level, and there are no tools to help. I have to click thru looking, and by the time I look the table is gone. So the jump in and look seems to be the only way. Really guys, this is computer based, it should be able to do that type of stuff for me!! For both bridge club and pairs tournaments. For the main bridge club - it needs find a partner -then find a game for a pair. The way it works now is lazy, and from the many comments, frustrating. I know you can't deal with personalities, but computers should be good at filtering out bidding system matches. It's not that hard!
  4. Last night and today I have had a robot take a long time to bid and/or play. One took 2 min 15 sec for a play a little while ago. Is this something with the new robots or just server load? This was in both ACBL individual tournament and instant tournament play.
  5. tournament game S is in 7S off the AK of D, with >= 2D in each hand. It should be down 2 but makes!!
