The important thing is not the HCP you have, it's where they are ! ♠AKxxx ♥x ♦x ♣AQxxxx. This hand is just as strong as the previous one. The problem is that the ops will lead ♥ or ♦, you will ruff the 2nd round and then what ever you will lose control of the hand not being able to play your clubs. The trick is you need absolute control (AKQ)of one of your 2 suits to be able to open 1♣. Othewise, open 1♠ then bid ♣.

I would have lead the same thing. But I still think that the declarer was clueless and that the director could'nt have cared less ! I think it's the second part that annoys me the most.

Talking of cheating… Here’s a good one, but I don’t know if anything can be done about it. ♠AQ83 ♥6 ♦KJ985 ♣T32 ♠K75 ♥A32 ♦AQ42 ♣AK8 West leads ♠J, East shows out and declarer takes the K. It’s clear that West has T9642 left and that 2 spade finesses will give you 12 tricks and that is that. But being the last hand of a speedball round with plenty of time left, why would declarer play all the diamond tricks first, ending in dummy, slowwwly, 1 trick every 10-15 seconds ? Clearly to let the time run out ! Better yet, why not claim, explaining the obvious finesses or still do the finesses first ? This is clearly a case of a declarer that has absolutely no clue as to how to fulfill that contract. Time runs out, obviously, before the hand is done and the director declares the contract as fulfilled without regard to the fact that it was declarer that stalled the play. It seems to me as a clear case of cheating. ‘I don’t know how to do it but if it can be done, director, with his superior knowledge, will figure it out, and if it can be done, he will give it to me’. It’s all very fine that the director declares a contract a success or a failure when time runs out, but shouldn’t he look a little more closely at the obvious stalling by both declarers or defenders ? BBO should be able to do better about that ! It’s infuriating when this happens !

Even at that, my other question is not answered... On the 3D bid, why would 3S show spades ? Gib skipped them ! If I have Spades stopped I would bid NT myself. Therefore, at this point 3S can only mean one intelligent thing... If you stop Spades partner, bid 3NT.

When I look at the GIB convention card, Western is mentioned twice... "Western Cue bid (GIB doesn't alert western cue with this name" That's it folks !!! So I guess the question becomes... Hovering over the possibilities with the mouse I get that 3S shows xxx in Spades. At this point I'm certainly not searching for a spade fit. GIB had the oportunity to bid S and chose to rebid D ! Don't want to bid 4D going over 3NT ! So why the heck is 3S not western ? Better yet... Why did GIB not bid 3NT with his KQX in Spades after my reverse. Does that give the right to the IPCC to be even more stupid ? NASA people have bosses who have bosses who have bosses. They can't speak publicly. They can't work on something else then what they were assingned to. Even if they work on something else at home on their own free time, they will never be aloud to speak out about it. And if a NASA guy is told to fudge the data then he will fudge the data. So maybe, just maybe, that's why you dont here about them. Furthermore, it's not because a group is being payed to work on something that the results have to be in their favor. Those guys are retired with a pension. What's their motive to come to that conclusion if it's not true. Money ? If that's the case then the IPCC has a lot more blood on their hands. You see, every group on each side of the issue is being payed. So I'll always choose the opposing side of the government.

It's still all propaganda BS. On one hand we have a group of multi-disciplinary retired scientists who put men on the moon and returned them safely to earth. This group is retired and therefore has no boss to answer to, is not waiting for any grant money and do it voluntarily on their own time, and yet they come forward with a climate model that fits the climate data. On the other hand we have a corrupt IPCC, made up of corrupt political appointees, with a corrupt political agenda, fudging the climate data to fit their politically corrupt climate model, skipping the whole scientific process in doing so. And yet, despite all the data fudging, their model is way off ! I’m left to wonder ! Who should I trust ? For your enjoyment, a climatologist who’s man enough to say he does not know… And this one who trashes the corrupt IPCC methods big time…

These guys can put men on the moon and bring them back safely but know nothing of mathematics, engeneering, modeling, chemistry, physics, space the whole shibang and cant model the acquired data on climate ? Wow ! That'a quite a statement !
