  1. I highly recommend a free app - aaBridge. One function of aaBridge allows you to get your played hands from BBO and save them to the app. Once you do that you can review your play, look at the travelers, or even replay the hand against aaBridge's robot. I often keep aaBridge open while I'm playing a robot tourney, and export the hand link to aaBridge to check what contracts were makeable and look at the double dummy play to see where I went wrong. The link to download the program. https://rogerpf.com/aaBridge The link below is just one of the many YouTube videos for aaBridge - this one shows how to import hands from BBO to aaBridge.
  2. Member added can't function fully in our club. I'm wondering ... If there are two separate servers, and they don't communicate, are there also two complete databases of BBO members -- one on each server. I am part of admin in the Intermediate/Advanced Club (IAC), and we have member who was added right about the time the 2nd server was created -- Tazz2. She can join tournaments hosted by bbo_iac, but cannot join a table in the club (under casual), when there is a mentoring session ongoing. Could it be that she exists on one server, and not the other? We've tried everything we can think of --- but nothing works to try to fix this on our end. Charlene (GG_Bridge)
  3. I soundly agree with all of westwind3's "niggles" and could add that the table view when not using card pictures is absolutely awful .. and the solution is not an easy "just use pictures" as one yellow suggested. For players like myself, who are working at learning to count a hand .. shapes are so much clearer. I can hardly figure out what's going on when I try to use the table with those huge bidding icons in the middle of the board. Besides which, BBO, is taking this opportunity to kill of the clubs that they've been hoping to get rid of for a couple of years. It can't be a priority now, but I certainly hope BBO will re-establish the clubs ability to function privately at some point. It's depressing that all of these new players that wouldn't have had anything to do with online playing until they were forced .. are now the top priority in all the programming .. cutting the long time members out of the equation. Sad situation .. that doesn't seem to improve... also now that we have 2 servers, why is the mid-day ban on free tourneys not yet lifted.
  4. I am also extremely disappointed that BBO has chosen to throw so much of it's resources to support the ACBL players flooding the system TEMPORARILY as they have nowhere else to play. It's a gamble that could cost in the long run when most of these players can return to their f2f play. I am certain none of them will really enjoy suffering through the awful table view of V3 any longer than they must. BBO should recognize that they benefit from all the private clubs and long time BBO members -- we join the paid ACBL tourneys occassionally and view the ads on BBO .. but mostly we were what got BBO off the ground -- and cutting us out of our tourneys in the prime time for USA? As another writer commented .. is there no another way to cut down on activity without completely shutting down the private clubs ability to run small tourneys. GG_Bridge IAC Admin Staff
  5. Hello - I'd suggest you investigate a program called "aaBridge". It's a many featured program designed to help players improve their game, but one of the many features is that you can create .lin files that can be uploaded and played in BBO at a teaching or bidding table. There are videos available on Youtube and help documents in the app. https://rogerpf.com/bridge/aaBridge
  6. Is it possible to keep the chat going without having to re-open it after every line of chat. That doesn't work well when a teacher is giving typed information at the table during a class. I was only able to enter a sentence and then the chat box disappears.
  7. [hv=pc=n&s=s6hqj754dat8cat93&w=saq92hakt32d72c87&n=sj873h86dkj543cq2&e=skt54h9dq96ckj654&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1hp1sp]399|300[/hv] Up for discussion is whether Opener invites with 3S or bids 2S after partner's 1S bid.
