  1. Well, all good in-depth comments....but I think it is more straightforward---the default for "start a table" is IMP's, i have pointed this out to several quality players with lots of experience who never noticed. Most start a table and it is set to IMP's, and they do not think any more about it.
  2. Maybe a dumb question, but... On the first page of this it says there are 2051 topics.....I onlly see7-8, and no other pages to go through. What am I missing?
  3. Hello again, Thanks for the reply pilowsky, appreciate the effort. However, as stated in the OP, I am able to delete material from profile, just cannot add. Yes, aware and under the space limitations. Nothing will type at all when editing the profile, just able to delete. Thanks for the reminder, but there is nothing to save (remember to hit the "save" button), as I am unable to add anything to profile. Anyone else have a suggestion or solution? Thanks, J
  4. Hi, I am trying to edit my profile. I have went to the account tab, and I can erase portions of my profile, but I can not add anything to it (which is what I am trying to do)....Anyone have suggestions? Thanks
  5. I keep google translate open in another tab, works great when someone is chatting in a language that you do not speak
  6. Questions: 1) I am noticing a recent trend in which what is obviously the same individuals that are posting/hosting multiple tables(with only slightly varied UN's) at the same time for "Teaching". Is this allowed? How are they able to start multiple tables at once (I am guessing the different usernames?) If allowed, how can I play multiple tables at once? I would love to be able to play more than one table at a time, but I have been unable to figure out how? 2) Is there a way to prevent the "Teaching/Bidding" tables from showing up on my open table screen. Thanks
  7. no problems scrolling here, Windows/Chrome. Had some problem cutting and pasting though
  8. Sorry not an economist, you are saying, cost for previous robot development already incurred, cost for future robot improvement/development provides no additional profit?
  9. I completely agree. Although the robots do not use SAYC, I do not believe the bidding conforms to hardly any "mainstream" bidding technique as the previous reply states. This has been discussed at length and for many years. Ex: just played a hand P (robot) opened 1 D, I have approx 18 points, bid 1 S with 5 card suit, p raised to 2S. I tried to bid 4NT (BW)...could not, GIB did not recognize this as BW....Finally settled for blind bid of 6S, made it, but should have been in 6 NT. of note i hovered over 4c (looking for Gerber) and several other possible bids, none of which were reasonable explanations in this relatively common situation. You just have to learn to try to compensate for their expected responses, and look for the worst. On the other hand, their double dummy card play is superb!
  10. I understand there are two types of robots we can buy, basic versus advanced. What type of robot is used in the robot duplicate tournaments? Additionally, why do the robots bid so badly? I have seen novice bridge players with less than one week experience bid better...
  11. Simply open up Google split screen with active BBO hand (Keep playing at same time) and copy and paste into google with the word "translate" in front of it, I do it all the time
