  1. When I change another player's status from 'follow' to 'neutral', it often does not take. The player will immediately come off of my list of who is online, but when I look later, they are back on the list and still being 'followed'. It will take 3-4 tries to get the status change to take. What gives?
  2. There is also the variation with 1 person using 2 IDs to partner him/herself. In two cases that I have reported and have apparently been reprimanded by BBO, the cheating continues except at a lower level. With this method the cheater only gets to see half the cards during the bidding, but it sure helps to find the right contract. On defense, this team is brutal.
  3. Problem is, in these cases, the Host of the table and the kibitzer are the same person. The unsuspecting opps usually do not even notice that there is a kibitzer. Couldn't BBO have a way to highlight the fact that there is a kibitzer watching? ...especially on tables with a consistent single kibitzer....always suspect, imo.
  4. Lately I have been watching a 'team' of at least 13 IDs, who I'm certain are all the same person. If the main ID, 0-------n, is on there will be exactly 2 of the other IDs on too--1 to partner and 1 to kibitz. The kibitzer will be swapped out every so often, but there is always 1 kibitzer at the table. The opponents never seem to be aware that there is a kib at the table. I have reported to abuse, but it is still happening. My question is: could there be a way for opponents landing at a table with a kibitzer (especially a single kib) to be alerted that someone is watching? Or for a message to the table when the first kibitzer arrives? Or a message to the table every so often when there has been a single constant kibitzer? Players might at least wonder about unlikely results if they knew there was a kib. Players look at "results", not the tab that shows who is kibitzing. Another idea would be to give players the option to choose: "take me to a table that does not allow kibitzing" or "take me to a table that has no kibitzers". Some months ago on this forum, I suggested that the default for starting a table be "no kibitzers" or "permission required to kibitz". That idea did not go over and would not help anyway when the cheater starts the table. My point then was the same as now--these people do not know there is a kibitzer at the table. thanks for listening...Kathleen McKenna
  5. The other night I saw an unusual result in the 'other tables' tab. I went to that table and watched for a while as user1 made some fantastic bids and plays. I noticed that besides me, there was 1 other kibitzer, user2. Then I noticed that when user1 moved to another table, user2 would follow. This went on for hours. Today, user3 was being helped by user2. This is the second time that I have happened upon players with multiple ids who kibitz their own table. I have reported to abuse both times, but it took months for it to stop when I reported the other cheater last year. If I have stumbled on it twice, it must be happening a lot. In fact, all table with a single kibitzer are suspect. My suggestion is this: why not make 'disallow kibitzers' the default option when starting a table? Even the option where permission is required for kibitzing would help. Most aren't aware that they have allowed kibitzing or that there are kibitzers watching. thanks for listening...Kathleen McKenna
