  1. Yeah, passing seems like the best choice there. :)
  2. For me with only 5 points... I cannot force myself to go 4♥ here. I play slightly conservative and my style tells me no for this bid.
  3. I definitely think that South, knowing he/she has a nine-card spade fit with partner, should bid 4♠ here. 4♥ gives a minimal gain if it is not made and as South you are not even sure if they will or not. 4♠ seems like it is a fine contract that even playing just from south's position with no knowledge of partner's hand I would bid 4♠. Suleiman
  4. With a 3-2 trump break about 68% likely, I would play as if opps held that. I would guard against an overruff in ♦ by using my king and bet on a 3-2 trump break. Thanks for the response!
  5. I think with a very strong 8-card suit you have to go 5♥. I agree with some of the other players who say that the double sounds too much like penalty. Your partner knows you are not crazy when you bid 5♥- you have something:) Suleiman
  6. Oops! lol you are right you can only lose one but you have to lose one. sorry!
  7. Hmm. Interesting. Thanks for sharing! Suleiman
  8. Thanks very much Vampyr! Now I see 4♥. Suleiman
  9. Thanks a lot aguahombre and the hog! I now see that in situations like 1♠ 1NT that whatever bid I make does not show my strength. Thanks guys! :)
  10. Again my little skill at bridge undermines me... I see no reason not to open 2♥ weak. Am I missing something? Were there bids before me I did not see? Thanks! Suleiman
  11. I read this and see a surprising amount of people opening one club, a bid I would not usually make with this type of hand. This hand seems like a perfect 1NT hand for many reasons as in PhilKing's post. Am I missing something? Why are you guys bidding one club? Please explain- thanks! Suleiman
  12. Sorry if I sound like I have never used a computer before- how do I spoiler my answer? ;) Cannot seem to figure it out- new to the site.
