  1. i bought 20 bbo bucks yesterday. my credit card shows just a 20 expenditure. if it cost you 8 in fees you need to start asking questions of your credit card company and bbo.
  2. What do the experts think? Do you interfere after opps open a strong 2C? What criteria do you use? Does this open fairly often or rarely?
  3. Using Suit quality index. this hand is worth a 4H opening. 8 hearts & 2 (3) honors, or 10 tricks.
  4. Zero Tolerance means Zero Rudeness, period. You are not ever permitted to detract from the enjoyment of the game of your partner or your opps. If you can't play the game within the rules of the game. Find a new hobby.
  5. Hi folks, I'm going to be playing in a couple of regionals over the next 2 months, and gone on a cruise. Therefore, there could be several days lag time in my responses to your posts or emails to my BBO handle of 22tango2. I will reply! Perhaps not within 24 hrs (or when on my cruise). When you contact me, please tell me what you would like to do in this "Precision Club". I envision myself as a facilitator to help people connect with others who want to simply play with others, as partners or opponents, while practicing our system of choice. Others may want to focus on practice bidding tables, practice playing tables, mentoring or to find coaching. I imagine that some will want to do all of the above. Some might find a more enjoyable experience while playing with others of appx. same skill levels? Or not? Who knows what your goals will be. Tell me and I'll assist as best as I can. Good News to Report - I had 3 people contact me during the first hour after posting the Precision Players Club. I hope there will be enough interest to create a large Precision Playing Community. I you know of ways to get the word out - please let me know. And I'll do it. Personally, I'd like to connect with a few "Brand New" - Precision players and meet up at the bidding and playing practice tables. On the playing side, I call myself an Intermediate with 4 yrs. of duplicate experience. I'll play with anyone who wants to start a table with me. Happy Playing! Dancin' Dan (22tango2)
  6. i've given up using word and going to excel instead. i think it's much easier to add boxes around lines of text to create a section.
  7. Precision Players of the World Unite! I have come here to find Precision players of all levels who wish to meet, chat, play, learn from each other as desired. You may contact me via BBO and I am 22tango2. (I'm new to Precision.) I log on to BBO daily and also a BIL member. Be patient! Be Kind! Have Fun! Join! Notify your friends! I'll consider all suggestions & go from there to best meet my stated goals. :) Dancin' Dan West Coast Time - Whidbey Island - North of Seattle
  8. i recently read an article by larry cohen stating he'd teach precision to all beginners and listed his reasons. i bought the recommended book, berkowitz/manley's book "precision today", and have read the first few chapters. now i want to arrange meeting time with other beginning precision players to try and put it into practice. if interested, pls send msg via bbo email system. send to 22tango2.
  9. I was disgusted with my result on one hand in a ACBL Roboo tourney i played a couple of days ago. W, the dealer, had 10 HCP and passed N had 5 HCP and passed E had 9 HCP and passed. I had 16 HCP with: ♠: J 10 9 7 ♥: A 10 2 ♦ A K Q 9 3 ♣: Q Obviously there is only 1 bid for me, 1 ♦. That's what i bid and then it was passed out. I played 1 ♦ and made 2. Not so bad, I guess. given the hand and 5 pts. from my partner. Then I looked at the other tables - 7 people played 1 no trump!?# Why/how in the world would one open 1 NT with a singleton Q?? Is there some strategy in playing these matches that sets aside all normal conventions to take a huge risk?? Hoping for a big reward in return for big penalty? As a side observation: a couple of people bid 1♦ and made 3 or 4 D. I understand why my result lagged those who made better plays than I did. It's the 1 NT bids that are baffling. dan
  10. For the software designers. On Bridgeresults.net, once you sign into your free acct, there is a bright yellow box at the top of the page that says "Graph". When you click there, it shows all your recorded % results, over time. The middle of the graph is a solid red line labelled 50%. And two other blue lines labelled 60% and 30%. Your scores are recorded by dots. this shows how consistent you are, or not. I'd live to see something similar on BBO. clicking on a dot show your partner and other data.
