Sorry no. Our broadcast will not start until Saturday morning local time. Again it's a question of recruiting operators. We have them for the team events, but they need to practice first to ensure a quality presentation. Roland The Individual is in 2 parts with the second part on Oct 9th, so perhaps coverage of the second part is possible.

The holders have not qualified automatically for some time. The regulations for Warsaw state: "The teams of the first 6 NBOs in the final ranking of the Open, Women’s and Senior will achieve the right to participate respectively in the 2007 Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup and Senior World Championship." Of course that effectively means Italy plus 5 others, but Italy will not qualify automatically.

We have an problem of users being logged off when another user on the same network logs into bridgebase. All the machines having a problem were 'ghosted' from a single image. I guess this may be the reason, is there a way round this?

There were internet connection problems for several hours in Istanbul on Tuesday. Rumour was that a local workman dug into the cable. The BBO archive file for England v France has about 4 or 5 results. However, there is a good writeup in today's bulletin. ang

I have 2 questions for Zmud99: 1. I note that the completed scoreboards facility will be available from the KO stages, but will only those from the current session of play be available or will it be possible to access earlier KO sessions as well. 2. The board review facility was not mentioned, but I understand that was also withdrawn for security reasons. Will that be reinstated for the KO stages? If so, will it be restricted to only the current session? Note that people are drawing comparisons with what was provided by Swangames for Malmo and want to see historical data. ang

I think Deanrover has hit on the crux of the issue. The fact that exciting new features would appear online during the Olympiad was strongly advertised during recent Vugraph presentations. There was no suggestion that they were primarily intended for the onsite presentation in Istanbul and that an extracted copy would be thrown into the real BBO. The archived Vugraph commentary seems to have gone awry for round 8 of the Olympiad. Of the 2 archived lin files, one is supposedly from the Scotland-Italy match but seems have commentary from the Poland-Austria match, while the other is supposedly from the Sweden-Brazil match and seems to have the missing commentary from the Italy-Scotland match. ang

The button you refer to controls whether played cards disappear or are greyed out. I have it turned on, so played cards are greyed out. This is OK against a white background, but as the background for dummy is grey they effectively disappear. I have now discovered that I can change the background for dummy to white and the greyed out cards consequently become visible. However, that background change does not last across sessions, so perhaps that is the question I should really be asking. That is, why does this background change only last for the current session? ang

Played cards are greyed out, but visible except for dummy, presumably because it has a grey background. Is there something that I can do to make dummy's played cards show up as they do for the other 3 hands? Thanks. ang
