The partner of the robot really thinks it would bid 3C with 4 clubs and 6 spades, so there is very little chance it will take it out of 3SX. I, however, know the robot better in this situation. It would *never ever* bid 3C with this holding. In fact, I would dare say there is no holding whatsoever that this bidding sequence should ever happen. No player would ever bypass a 5 card spade suit at the 2 level, to bid a club suit at the 3 level.

Yes I know I could overcome any lead double dummy. However, the lead was impossible for its GIB partner to decipher with any certainty. Some things are simply so easy, why tinker? If I have JT9x, always lead the jack.

More Robot tips: Bid game far more aggressively than normal when you hold a long suit. Their insanely passive leads tend to make this a winning action. The robots almost always switch suits. If you let them hold the first trick, they seem to switch about 80% of the time.

Robot tip: Do double their cold 3N, if they have anywhere at all to run. They *will* run.
