If opener can support responder's major with 3 cards when unbalanced what is a good structure for continuing?

We do not play NFBs. Partner and I both do know what they are. I can see the value in a non--forcing diamond bid here. ♠KQxx ♥Jxx ♦AKJxxx ♣void How might the given hand be bid? I guess responder could forget the spades for now and start with diamonds? 1C - (2H) - 3D I sort of have this notion that a spade bid on 3 level now would just be values, not necessarily 4 cards and that responder skipping the negative double denies 4 spades. I don't know where I picked up those ideas -- I'm sure they could be completely wrong.

I live in small town and learned to play casual rubber bridge with some friends and coworkers. A friend and I have gotten reasonably good playing online. We have never played duplicate in a live setting. We are starting to use quite a few bids that I know require an alert but I'm not sure how to do that! Say partner opens 1C, RHO passes and I bid 3C! (inverted). Does partner alert or do I? What exactly does the alerter do with the blue card? When asked for an explanation, who does the explaining?

If you bid 2♥, is such a call forcing when 4th seat passes? Change the heart ace to the queen. Does your answer change? How about if the club 3 is swapped with the ace?

We play 2/1 and go through a forcing 1NT for a 3 card limit raise. 2) ♠Jx ♥KQx ♦KQx ♣Jxxxx Same scenario -- partner opens 1♠ in first seat. Should I invite or force game? Partner knows that 2♣ here, while game forcing, does not promise a strong club suit.

But now we need a way to show strong minor single suiters so 3♦ here doesn't promise 4 spades right? How do you show this hand without missing a possible 4--4 spade fit? 3NT (which would promise 4 spades) seems unappealing.

1NT - 2♣ 2♥ - 2♠? Strong 1NT, 2♣ is standard Stayman, could be weak with 5-4 or longer majors. What does 2♠ mean?

Low key rubber bridge once a week with a group of coworkers x/xxx/AKxxx/AQxx I open 1D, partner responds 1S, I want to bid 2C (not 1NT) I think? But: Partner suggests that this bid (2C) is forcing and I should rebid 1NT or 2D instead. We are at an impasse. Is such a method playable (any new suit by opener is forcing)? I always understood that a new suit by opener is only forcing if it is a reverse.
