Hi all In many threads folks discuss about cheating. I can't imagine, that many people are cheating. :) It must be so boring sitting at two computers ore while playing calling partner by phone. You don't need your brain, there is no challenge at all. You know the outcome of every board. This can't be fun. :D You have nothing to gain in BBO (no money, no qualifikation for the Beruda-Bowl, no reputation). IMO there are much more discussion about cheaters than cheaters herselves. He answered wether to (1) nor to (2). My questions are now: (1) What is the right decision (poll above) (2) What would the right decision be, if EAST and WEST would swear, there were no abnormal delay before the double. Hi Ben, hi all 100% aggreed. But BBO is a free community and everybody is allowed to do what he wants to do except being rude or unpolite. This is one of the things, why BBO is the greatest bridge-site in the net. There are many tournaments with kibs, and many without, there are many paid tournaments and many not paid, there are many tournaments I like to play and a few I don't like............................................... If TD thinks he has good arguments to not allow kibs, so let him do, don't critisize and watch another tournament. :( Cheers Al

Hi Dwayne, hi all Very rightIMO there were much more people talking about cheating as there are cheaters. Not every strange lucky bid is a cheat. Besides cheating in BBO must be boring. We don't play for money, we don't play for Masterpoints, we don't play for qualifying the Bermuda-Bowl, we play just for fun and entertainment. Imo cheating is the same reading a crime-story from the end. 100% agree. Besides I learned after some bitter experience: Psychics maybe fun for you, but never for your partner. Psychics destroy partnerships confidence and faith. I was a great psycher and had to learn: Psychs don't pay in a long run on a high level. I'm not talking about tactical bids, which could not confuse partner. Al

2NT in a team-match is a must :( imo Partner is in the range 12-15. We may have good play for 3NT. 2Nt should be on even if he has minimum. In a MP-event pass or 2♠ maybe ok. Al

Hi Marc, What you are doing to players is wonderful. But is it not enough, players to invite to whisper to TD after the tourney, if they have complaints? You can answer all questions in private chat. Only once a complainer won't except my decision and didn't ceased his complaint, just because he didn't reda my answers. I suggested to go to a chatroom. He became silent and went to the next tourney. :lol: Al

It is just for fun and entertainment like other funny things like bungee-jumping .... :lol: So let people do what they want and don't try to be serious in any way. WEST called me to that table and complained about UI. All players convinced: North said "misclick" after Wests X before bidding 4♠. This is an infraction no doubt. I gave a warning to NORTH. But how to adjust? I decided: North first pass and 3♠-bid are very strange and tremendous underbids. It is not 100% clearcut for SOUTH to bid on after pds 4♠. Therefore 40%/60%. SOUTH asked me why adjust A-+ not 4♠+3. The lead of a small heart was possible against 6♠, but against 4 ............? Therefore the only alternative to A-+ could be 4♠+2? Hi Mc Bruce Thanks for your reply. Sry my question was only if my opinion the 2!C in SAYC had to be alerted was right. I announced in my rules to alert all non SAYC and 2/1-bids. If I were unsure how to decide the adjust I had not asked. My problem is that I'm not 100% familiar with SAYC. :rolleyes: 100% agree. Hi all **Very Quick and Nice** 3 boards per round; 6 min per board Round 3; second board (#8), EAST disconnected (RED), no subs available for about 5minutes. :D After a sub came, they finished #8 and began #9. Bidding of #9 was finished, but only 2 tricks played. No clearcut line of play. No artificial score possible. :D Server adjusted A--. If there were only 3 minutes for last board, this had be cancelled an server had adjusted A== (right?). Players were punished, because they tried to recover the lost time; if playing slow they would get A==, else A--. How would you decide? NS beeing not guilty at all. EW damaged by no subs available.
