I use Fedora (and windows) instead of Ubuntu. Flash player is available in 3rd party repository of Fedora. Just did a google search, it should be also available in Ubuntu 3rd party repository. Just google apt get flash you should see plenty clear instructions. BTW make sure to install the flash firefox plugin as well, if in Ubuntu repository they are packaged like this. :lol: :lol:

Mine is even lower model. amazon fire tablet 7" released 2015 5th Gen (8G storage, 1GB RAM). I have installed a custom ROM onto it running android (instead of fire OS). BBO is running fine. I have no reason to doubt that BBO could not run on factory amazon fire. Though I have never tried it.
