  1. I do not play poker but I read a poker book by Gus Hanson called Every Hand Explained that detailed his winning of a major tournament. This book showed the way an expert plays poker hands. For Bridge my one must read book is Mike Lawrence "How to Play Card Combinations." It will at least give you an idea of what Bridge could really is at a top level. As far as bridge base be sure to replay all your hands. You can also see how other people played the same hand. So if you did not do as well check how the same hand was played by others.
  2. North's last 5 cards are small spade, small heart,3 clubs. South has K hearts and 4 clubs. North plays a small heart to K. If West has only one spade left then finesse Club and throw him in with small spade to lead away from Kx of clubs. If W has kept two spades Finesse Club , and then Ace of clubs drops the K.
  3. Terence Reese has a hand called the little old lady. He is declarer and has queen of one suit. In another he does not have it and a two way finesse is possible. He starts by pretending to finesse in the suit he has the queen. The old lady opponent hesitates just a bit. Later in the hand the key finesse and the old lady opponent does not hesitate at all. So he knows she has it.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion... This is going to really be fun this way...
  5. If playing against Robots would have an option to use Random VuGraph deals, TWO major improvements would follow.: 1. More of the hands would require you to defend the hand . Defensive Play practice is limited now. 2. You could compare your bidding and play to that used by the experts and professionals that played the VuGraph deals. And of course all the hands would be more realistic. Now you almost always have as many or more points than anyone at the table.
  6. A couple of suggestions for this Quick Play. One is for the robots to slow down maybe by a second a move. Tricks are too fast. Second suggestion is that if you wind up as dummy on the hand have the hands flipped so that you are the declarer. This allows you to play half the hands. Watching the robots play the hand is just a waste.
