  1. My link"] With a long club side suit to the K, GIB would like a club lead. Instead GIB throws it's lowest club. The GIB defense notes mention that: It doesn't use any signals when making discards, it just tries to make safe discards. In a suit contract it will frequently discard from a short suit while it has trumps left. Otherwise, it tends to discard from a long suit that's safe to shorten. With a long suit (6+) surely it would be safe to also provide a signal as to whether it wants or does not want a lead of this suit. Can you please add that, at least for long suits? Thanks PS - Is there something I'm missing with the link feature to the right of the smiley face? I thought a picture of the hand should appear or at least a url with functionality to go to the hand even before I post.
  2. Defense is the area where I think GIB most needs to improve. It should be fun to play defense with a disciplined partner like GIB but so far not so much. Please add suit preference signals when giving a ruff. Please add an ability for GIB to make inferences from the play and my carding. GIB should not have to make all it's simulations based soley on the auction. GIB's opening leads may follow some carding but his attitude signals seem to be frequently off and his leads later in the hand don't seem to reliably follow the normal convention of low to show something and high to deny interest in that suit so I find myself returning the wrong suit. Thanks.
  3. GIB opened 2H. 2S is forcing and 3S is even stronger but strangely 4C and 4D have no assigned meaning. There should be a meaning for this bid. It's commonly played as an Asking Bid asking for help in that suit to go slam so looking for a control, often a singleton. Alternatively it could be preemptive so misfit with the 2Hs but a very long minor suit and to play unless GIB has great support to raise to 5. Potentially it could show fit with the weak 2 and be lead directing on the way to 4Hs, or showing a splinter.
  4. After 1 heart by right hand opponent, X by me, pass by Responder, jump to 3C by Advancer, pass by Opener, 3S rebid by me described as 14+ (when it should be more like 18+) GIB passes. His hand is K107 5 J642 AJ1053 = 9 plus the heart singleton. We easily made 5 spades but were passed-out in three. Please correct GIB's programming to understand that doubling and then bidding a suit shows a strong hand.
  5. This is the first time I've used these forums so please let me know if I'm in the wrong place or doing it incorrectly. 4NT overcall after 1S Pass 4S is described in the MP Tournament today as 4/4 or better in the minors. So why does my Robot partner bid 5H with 5 Q8764 K3 109876? He should bid 5C where we have fit. Can the description of the 4NT overcall or the Advance by the Robot be corrected? Thanks, Catherine
