Hi I am aware that many play transfer responses to a 1C opener, but can one legally play transfer responses to an artificial 1D opener too? (the 1D opener shows 12-14 hcp, unbalanced, ANY shape). If so, are they legal under the ACBL GCC ? It's not clear to me, and I thought I knew the GCC backwards by now. Thanks

Hard to see how 3NT can legitimately make, except if they lead spades for you. All they need to do is (keep) stick(ing) you in your hand using non-spades.
