Mauro, non può scartare tutte le fiori sulle quadri. Sappiamo che ha 5 picche e il vuoto a cuori. distribuisci come vuoi la carte nei minori, (5-3, 4-4, 3-5, 2-6, etc.) resterà sempre con una fiori perdente. Per questo è assurda la sua linea di gioco, avesse tagliato al morto avrebbe fatto sempre 11 levee

Non credo di capire la linea di gioco del dichiarante...in ogni caso gioco tre giri di atout e aspetto la mia presa fiori. Il dichiarante realizza al massimo 3 picche 6 quadri e l'asso di fiori (non riesce in nessun modo a duplicare le atout). Ovviamente ci sarà qualcosa che non vedo al momento <_<

1NT mi pare abbastanza chiaro, 15 punti con una (semi)bilanciata. Meglio trasmettere subito la forza e il tipo di mano al compagno

I think the bid that best describes the hand is 2♣ followed by 4NT. I feel kinda strongly that starting with 2NT or 4NT partner will never be able to pick the correct minor (if he has 3♦ and a singl.♣ we probably want to play 5♣, not 5♦). Still since it's entirely possible that opps have slam in a Major, do we want to let them have all this room? how bad do you judge a leap to 5♣ is? Felix

In realtà, andando a leggere con attenzione codice di gara e norme integrative questo "caso" si risolve abbastanza semplicemente. Alla voce PRE-ALERT delle norme integrative si legge: "PRE-ALERT Le coppie di giocatori che nel loro sistema prevedono i seguenti accordi devono darne preventiva comunicazione, prima dell'inizio del gioco, alla coppia avversaria. 1) L'uso di attacchi rovesciati. 2) L'uso di attacchi in conto rovesciato. 3) L'uso di aperture a livello di 1 che prevedono come forza minima la fascia 8/10 punti onori. 4) L’uso del sistema base Corto-Lungo. La mancata osservanza della norma comporta l'applicazione dell'art.75 e 40." Quindi, risulta chiaro che c'è stata un'infrazione da parte della coppia N-S. L'articolo 40, comma C: "C. Condotta dell’Arbitro Se l’Arbitro decide che una linea è stata danneggiata dal fatto che gli avversari non hanno chiaramente spiegato il significato della chiamata o giocata, egli può attribuire un punteggio arbitrale." Quindi questo è il nocciolo del problema, c'è si stata un'infrazione, ma non c'è stato danneggiamento in seguito a questa infrazione perchè anche in presenza di tutte le informazioni E-O non avrebbero mai potuto ragigungere il contratto ottimo di 4P. Riguardo a quello che ha scritto aboveriver, una difesa di quel tipo non è possibile, perchè in mancanza di chiare indicazioni (leggi convention card ed eventualmente sistema completo) se c'è una differenza fra licita e spiegazione si ritiene che si tratti di spiegazione sbagliata (che puo dare diritto a penalizzazione) e non di licita sbagliata (che non darebbe diritto ad alcuna penalizzazione). Ben, on the second hand you give i believe my play works too...say the play goes KD, JH to the Ace, King of H, H ruff and club up ducked (an honor falls from E). Now anoher H ruff, D ruff and low club, E playing his other honor, what should west do? if he ducks there's no trump promotion, if he wins my C10 becomes good, anyway 10 tricks. So the only problem hand is when East holds Qx or Jx in clubs (as i stated in my previous post) Felix

Ok, taking Ben's lead On the D lead, and H return, we play AK of H, ruff H, and lead a club up. Now, if opener wins and returns a club we win in dummy, ruff a H, ruff a D, and get out with the third club endplaying W who is down to just spades. If W returns a D it's funnier still, we ruff, cash the KC ruf the last H and ruff a D high, then we lead the last club and what's poor E to do? If opener ducks, it's no better, we win in dummy, ruff H, ruff D and get out a club to E blank Ace. ruff the D return high and it's the same position as before when we lead the last club This line works assumes opener is - J10xx KQJxxxx Ax which seems very likely on the bidding. I can't find a line that works when opener is - J10xx KQJxxx AJx as well, but it doesn't seem likely he has this hand. One last point, on my construction W could beat us leading the CA and continuing clubs (it messes up the entries for ruffing Hearts) Felix

Giusto due cose: La cultura non ha niente a che vedere con l'isrtruzione universitaria o can la professione scelta (in particolare per quanto mi riguarda al liceo ero molto più "colto" di adesso, avevo molto piu tempo libero per leggere e interessarmi ad altre cose che non fossero strettamente oggetto di studio). Detto questo, credo che la scelta università vs bridge non si ponga neanche...intanto perchè è perfettamente possibile coniugare un'attivita agonistica di buon livello con lo studio...e secondo perchè una scelta di professionismo deve partire da una passione talmente accecante che la scelta non si pone nemmeno B) Felix

I'm not fond of systems that force you to relay with all GF hands, i think that natural bidding has a lot of merit...it's good to have the choice wether to ask p to describe his hand or to bid naturally and describe your hand. Felix
