I was East, as declarer in 4S. About the 3rd card I led, followed by South, West, wait..., wait...., oops North has gone offline. A short wait, North is back on line, I am informed via chat that North has played a card, but this is not reflected on my screen, and I cannot continue to play as the table is frozen waiting for North. My connection is not frozen, I can browse the history tab, browse the people tab etc. Eventually the only action I can take is to deliberately disconnect, and reconnect and get restored to my seat. So far so good; I can continue with the game, and make 9 tricks. However, for some reason the game was scored as 4S-4 for a loss of 13.7 IMPs, it should have reflected 4S-1. So I have 2 questions: a) How can one best recover from such a frozen connection? and b) Why was the event scored incorrectly? When I replayed the board via the history tab, it replayed correctly with East making 9 tricks.
