It seems odd to me that a company, operating in the entertainment business like BBO, thinks it makes sense to drastically increase prices a second time since the pandemic hit. I am disappointed that good old American greed is alive and well even in the bridge world. I'm not surprised, given the cheating that also goes on. Price increases in light of overall inflation are normal, but not the gouging BBO has just inflicted. I know what I'm going to do.

I have been concerned with the wrong thing, I guess! I wonder why my robot partner supports my opening bid, twice, and turns out to have zero trumps. I should instead be upset about a marketing tool that I have never looked at.

I am a beginner and I believe I am in a beginner's forum but all the posters here seem to be advanced. What am I doing wrong? Thx

yes, BBO seems not to care about a problem. Using Chrome, BBO tells my internet is down and I need to check my connections. In other words, it is my problem. I can connect using Safari and Firefox, and of course any other URL I want. It is only BBO on Chrome that does not work. But BBo eventually responds, usually several days later, with nonsense.

I downloaded the new version of Firefox. All my bookmarks transferred and work except for BBO. When I tried top open it it took me to an Adobe page where I downloaded Adobe, but nothing happened. I have to open Chrome to play. Anyone have any comments or suggestions? Thx

I agree that the skill levels should be reviewed. I could select world-class, but in reality i know i am just an average player whose life does not revolve around bridge. The whole concept of self-describing one's skill level is stupid on its surface. Everywhere else in bridge the divisions are beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Really, that is all you need to know. It is self-policing anyway. If you are just average and happen to get seated at a table of advanced players either you leave pretty quickly or you get tossed out. Rarely you fined decent people who welcome you and try to teach you something. Rarely, most advanced players here have egos the size of Trump's.

this is a GAME. Absolutely no reason to get your shorts tied up. If you were truly a world-class player you would not be playing on bbo, and certainly not writing in this forum. :lol:

i think you are way too self-concious. No one is shunning you ( a very strong word you know). BBO is many different things to different people. It is nowhere as good as going to a club and playing with other people, but it offers a different kind of experience. Very few people would take the time to carefully read your profile and reject you. No one cares that much. Just go with the flow. Sometimes you will find a good table, sometimes you won't. Just leave if that happens. But you are obsessing on this, not good.

Somebody needs to take a break. There is no "fix" in. What would BBO gain from it? It is in the same position as a blackjack dealer in a casino. It just collects the money. It doesn't think about who is winning or losing. It gets paid either way.

Will my rating change depending on who reads it?

I agree with an earlier comment. You don't seem to have the programming talent to present the free lessons on Apple, but you dick around with this garbage.
