  1. I never finished this hand. It was in a $1 robot reward- best hand tournament and it ended right after I bid 2♠ on my second round.
  2. Oh… I thought this was a double dummy problem since all four hands were presented. I play as gszes does single dummy.
  3. AQ of hearts, diamond to the queen (west must win), win any return, cash all your hearts, and finesse against the ♦T?
  4. http://tinyurl.com/khbbw8p Trick 10 This is just play bridge btw
  5. I think 3♥ should show just 3, else you would rebid it over 1NT
  6. Part 2: [hv=pc=n&s=sakq92hadkj98753c&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=ppp1dp1hd]133|200[/hv]
  7. Fourth chair, all vulnerable, match points, passed to you [hv=pc=n&s=sakq9xhadkj987xxc]133|100[/hv]
  8. West can throw a diamond on this position, since east guards it, otherwise the position is as in the OP. Now cash the ♦A and ruff a club before finessing the heart. West has to win and give you the remaining tricks, as he has only hearts left. Didn't notice that east could guard diamonds as well, thanks :)
  9. I agree with the hog here, pass is obvious
  10. No idea for the first question. Auction should be ( 1♠ ) - 1NT - ( P ) - 2♣ ( X ) - 2♦ AP
  11. [hv=pc=n&s=sahajtdac8&w=shk32dqjcq&n=s32h76d92c&e=s5hq54d53c]399|300[/hv] Trumps are spades, south needs 5 tricks. South draws the last trump with the ace and west must throw a heart, which allows south to lead the ♥J and use only one entry to establish the hearts. Sorry this one is not as cool as the last one :(
  12. http://tinyurl.com/n2t4fkv Why bother showing spades here? I'm very rarely if ever going to want to play in spades. Before you criticize my 2♣ bid, I would bid the same with ♠xx ♥KQJx ♦QJTxxx ♣x so it shouldn't affect the robot.
  13. [hv=pc=n&s=sh92d98c7&w=sjthq8dck&n=sq6hdq4cj&e=sh3djcq92]399|300[/hv] I was south, in no trump, and needed at least two more tricks at match points. I knew west had the good heart and the long spade so I decided to attempt to squeeze him for an extra overtrick. I played a diamond from hand and west discarded a spade. I was surprised, and, in the heat of the moment, thought I needed to win in hand so I could have a later entry to dummy, so I ducked!!
  14. I signed off with my 10 loser hand and made 5. I am glad to see I am not alone here.
  15. I think I'm using the same database as PhilKing. It was an obvious pass before I ran simulations, now it's an obvious 4♠. Partner has 3-4 spades and a singleton/void heart a surprising amount of the time and we can often make 4♠ opposite a low doubleton or honor singleton. When we can't make 4♠ they are almost always making 4♥.
  16. [hv=pc=n&s=s632hktdc&w=sak4ha2dc&n=sqj5hd2c2&e=s8hqjd4c4]399|300[/hv] South needs 2 tricks, no-trump.
  17. IMO, 1NT = 10, 1♠ = 9, 1♦ = 3 IMO, after 1NT-2♣-2♠, 3♠ = 10, P = 7, 4♠ = 1
  18. IMO, X = 10, 4♣ (natural) = 7, 4♥ = 3 A club bid, assuming no leaping michaels, deserves to find partner with ♠Axxxx ♥KQxx ♦xxx ♣x
  19. [hv=pc=n&e=sqt6hkj3dkqj963cq&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=p1d1sdp2d2s5cp]133|200[/hv] X showed 4+ hearts. What if the ♣Q was a low singleton instead?
  20. [hv=pc=n&e=s87hqt6542dk94c42&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=1dp1hdp1sp6sppp]133|200[/hv] Matchpoints, intermediate level opponents that are a new partnership. What's your lead?
