  1. Clear X, what else am I supposed to do?
  2. I have a bridge app unrelated to bridgebase and it literally wouldn't let me open a trash 4-count with 3♥ the other day. Something like Kx Jxxxxxx xx xx :P 3NT is probably an OK bid to have in the system here but IMO there needs to be a distinction between 19-22 counts which shouldn't overcall 3NT, and 23+ which could. Given that, 4NT would actually be too light of a bid.
  3. It didn't say 3-5 total points when I previewed it...
  4. This auction is impossible so I pass.
  5. I bid 4♦ as I didn't consider 4♠ at the time. GIB passed.
  6. [hv=pc=n&e=sthkt76djt52caj63&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=p2cp2d(Waiting%20-%20forcing%20to%202NT)p3d(Opener's%20suit%20-%205%2B%20!D%2C%2019%2B%20HCP%2C%2023%2B%20Total%20Points)p]133|200[/hv] What is your call, and what would 4♦ mean here?
  7. I get the description "5+♦, 11- HCP, 12- total points".
  8. After 1♠ - 2♣ 4♥ - 4♠ Which is pretty much forced by my system (4♥ is the only way to show north's hand since 3♠ sets the suit and 4♠ is a cue), I can find 6 but not 7.
  9. http://tinyurl.com/pkbo3f4 GIB passed 3♦ with 5 card support and 10 HCP. At every other table, GIB found 4♠ through a variety of auctions.
  10. 3♦ and 3♥ show a better hand than this. 4♠ is a better suit. 4♣ leaves a 6/3 or 6/4 fit out of the picture. That leaves 3♠. I make that call, and then bid clubs on my next round unless something weird happens.
  11. Surely you were always going to be in at least 4♠ after partner raised? Opposite a partner who has shown everything you could have possibly hoped for, you should make a slam try. Also what ggwhiz said.
  12. On that perfect defense, declarer can still play ♠AJ and pitch a club (scissors coup). You need to lead a trump immediately so declarer will still have a club when you're on lead without trumps. I didn't even consider declarer might have needed to ruff out a long side suit (diamonds) when passing.
