  1. I like the player notes feature. I could write a short description about the person or the games we have played. But sometimes I don't remember the person, but the note yes. And I could not search in it. I would like to suggest the following extra features: - allow to search/filter by words/phrase in the note field. - export import the notes (Very simple: two column: name, note) (than I don't need the search function :) ) Because I sometimes add a value to the player, I suggest the following categories (besides the notes) - personality [-5 , +5] - skill [-5 , +5] (sometimes people marked themselves stronger or weaker. This number/value could based on my experience.) - compatibility [-5 , +5] (How our bidding system fit each other) - defender [-5 , +5] (I always separate the skill into player and defender. Generally the "skill" value (above) is when he is player, and this one is when we are defender.) This four value could be implemented as a new sliders. I know this is a big development (because later on I would like to search/filter for this four categories :) ) but how do u like this idea? Are u working something similar?
  2. I would like to fetch myhands from a python. But I cant login to the myhands page. (I have tried with "urllib" with "mechanize" with "request" with "scrapy" ... without success.) Reading the "http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands/hands.php?username=testuser4&start_time=1451520000&end_time=1454198400" url I got only the login page (a form with a login input fields) Can you help me?
  3. Missed some useful things. E.g. Where is the link to download the client program (NetBridgeVu.exe) for Win. Where are the other platform programs ... etc.
  4. I am using the gooood old client version. I would like to use (learn in more details) the partnership bidding feature. Pressing on the "Help" button the links are broken. Anybody could help with the right links (or with the help files itself)? Does exist a forum topic about that? Thanks
  5. I am using the old gooood client version :) But the help pages are disappeared. Could anybody provide me the help files or a link? Thanks in advance (I haven't found a topic on this forum either.)
  6. you have to set your hand to kibitz it (e.g.: East) in the "Deal Properties" action. Than the dummy (West) you will see automatically after the leading play.
  7. I have created a very simply Windows application that could convert the frames and actions from the Html Movie Maker into a .lin file format. (So you can play back your movie with the installed version as well.) I would like to know if somebody is interested in to use it? I am looking for a bata tester(s). If you would like to contact me, leave a message at BBO with your email. I will contact you.
  8. Thanks Eva, the help works now for me. I have read the help of the "modify deal". Seems the function does not work on the way you designed. Could you check and fix the error, please? In addition: I guess that you would store only the changes made on the deal not the whole deal! (or this is the source of the error?)
  9. I think the Movie Maker is so wonderful tool that one can open a topic for it to receive feedback and suggestions for this tool. I have a big request: - Could you connect the "Help" button to a real content, or remove the help button. The actual situation is very ugly and annoying: we get an error message for each HELP button. :( :( This is not professional! small question: - how to use the "Modify deal" ? Seems to me it always modifies the whole deal and go back to the first card, but not in the reality. So my frames and actions are broken. I thought I can modify some cards only and continue the frames with this modification. This function is missing! Is there a place where we can report error(s) about Movie Maker?
  10. If you understand the syntax of the md|| tag, than you can simply rotate/change the deal. If you have a look it would very easy. (The order is: South-West-North(-East); The first number defines the dealer: 1=South) The sv|| tag will set vulnerability: n (NS) , e ( EW) , b(both), 0 ( none ) , as sv|n|,sv|e|,sv|b|,sv|0|.
  11. I would like to understand the syntax of the .lin files Is there any documentation? Is there any link that could help? Is there any sample or tutorial? Is there any open source program (prefer in C++ ) that read/write .lin files? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! I am sure BBO has something, maybe not a public one. Is there any chance to get this documentation under NDA?
  12. I thought about something similar answer. Sad, but ok. Thanks Barmar!
  13. Ben, I know this option. Like a workaround I am using it. But my question is slightly different. Why we need to solve this simple problem in this difficult way you have suggested? With the Movie you can create files, my question is very simple: Why we need to stay on-line to do that? (This would be the simplest solution. why don't BBO solve something on its simple way? Or is it not so simple to modify the program? )
  14. I would like to be familiar but where is the syntax graph or definition? Do you have any documentation about it? Rain, with this answer you did not answer my question but try to escape into another topic. Or does your answer means a simply "noway, we cannot do that" ? I am open to learn the syntax. But if you say later there is no syntax documentation than read again my original question! Did you answer it?
  15. Ok, I understood your point, but try to think from a different approach: Why is it necessary to stay on-line when I edit/create .lin files? Maybe there is another solution than the stand alone program. I can imagine this function inside the actual NetBridgeVu.exe avoiding the log in procedure. (Like actually you have a button to view the .lin files without log in.) I am sure that you can configure the NetBridgeVu.exe program to allow create .lin files without logging in. (To enter the Movie function without logging in.)
  16. I can use the Movie - like a graphic tool - only when I am logged in. But while I am creating/editing/modifying .lin files, I do not need to be on-line, the functionality does not require it. Recently using BBO installed (not the Web interface) I can use the movie - like a graphic editor – only when I am logged in. I think I can create a board off-line (using the Movie program), than later I log in to BBO and load this board to the current table or whatever. But actually I cannot use the Movie off-line. Do you plan to make the Movie function as a stand alone program?
