This is my biggest problem with the HTML version. As a TD in the Total Points Tournament Club, chat is critical to run a successful tournament. With this release, it borders on impossible to chat to the club, kibitzers or specific players. It is counter intuitive: so when you click on a player's name (as one did in the previous web version) and type a chat message, it does not go to that player, but rather to the table, club, etc. There are two places chat boxes appear and it is much too easy to type in the wrong one by mistake. Please fix this badly broken feature.

A few thoughts after two days of use. The good: It is much faster. I really like seeing previous hands at the table. Chat can scroll (finally!) The bad: Chat takes up too much screen space and chat box stays open until you manually close it. Bidding box of all bids takes up too much screen real estate. Table settings revert to default (IMPs, first two settings on, others off.) Previous version remembered how you last set and used that as default. A table with all seats reserved is listed as “open.” It used to be listed as “full.” This is a big deal st TP Bridge Club. No way to change size of chat area. No way to make player profile with chat box smaller. It covers too much of screen so you can’t see hands. One big picture suggestion: have the app beta tested by power users before release. I volunteer.

Good improvements. Still checking it out. Found one problem. On iPad. Chat from table dies not work. When I click chat, I get a dialog box, but no keyboard. If I hit send, I get error...you cannot send blank chat. That gets the keyboard. But typing is very very slow. No problem with private chat when not sitting at table.

I hope the software developers monitor this thread. I have been using the new app on an iPad since it was released. I am getting used to it...but I still don't like it. A couple of specific problems that I have encountered. These all relate to playing in the daily Total Points Club tournament. Twice yesterday, I could not sit at a table. The table was set to require permission to play -- and no matter how many times I clicked "sit," nothing happened. I fixed it both times by logging off/on. The second time (one hour after the first), the table host reserved a seat for me. That worked fine. I don't recall this being a problem a few days earlier. There was no problem when I was the table host. While this is going on, I cannot see chat messages. This is a big problem because the table host, my partner and the tournament directors were sending me private chat messages. The only way to see these is to click off the "play" screen and onto the "message" screen. Previous versions always had the chat window open. Similar problem comes when I leave the director's table and click "Show Open Tables." There is no ability to chat from this view. When I did not see a table to sit at (assigned by the tournament director), I want to send a chat to my partner or to the TD. The only way to do this is to leave this screen and go to the message screen. Not every chat is answered immediately. So I go back to "Open Tables" to see if the table has been opened. If not...back to chat to see if anyone has answered me...or to send another chat. At this club, there is a lot of chat. Table assignments are made in chat. All kinds of casual messages are sent in chat. But this version still not does not allow me to scroll back to old chat messages. I have made the font as small as the software allows (even smaller would be OK with me), but there are times I cannot get enough messages on my screen. In sum, I would like to have: Chat window available from all screens Ability to scroll back through chat messages Option for smaller font sizes for chat

I regularly play in the Total Points club tournament on my iPad. If N/S has a positive score on the first board, it is not reflected in the scoring summary shown at the table. It will still show 0-0, although if you look at the scoring detail, the correct score is shown. If E/W have a positive score on Board 1, all is fine. This problem continues throughout the game -- so that while the score summary may be 850-700 favoring E/W, the actual score is 1100-850, favoring N/S. This is repeatable every time and has been a problem for many months. Any chance someone can look at the code and figure out why the N/S score is not added to the summary for the first board?

Starting tonight....player profiles are not showing up on iPad v. 3.8....no matter how long I tap an opponent's name. No chat ability either. It is as if the command is turned off. Have rebooted...and logged in again...with same result.

Playing in tournament tonight, my p. requested "undo" which was rejected. Second request...it was accepted. But when declarer (not my partner) played the hand, he said he could not see his cards. They were all face down. I think I have encountered this bug before.

The double tap was used when you selected "confirm cards" in options. It is virtually useless in the current release.

On the iPad.. Agree with complaints about chat. Used to be able to scroll back much more. When declarer, after winning trick that stays on table...huge problem selecting next card if it is under the trick. I use the "delay" feature and really have to click "just right." Carryover bug from previous versions: if playing a Total Points game, score is not correct for N/S if first plus score goes to North/South. The past hands shows correct results, but not the cumulative score. No problem with E/W scoring. Would like to add notes to profiles of other players.
