  1. Try looking at GRANT-KER 2007 Bermuda Bowl convention card Especially notes 33, 22 & 23 http://www.ecatsbridge.com/documents/files...d/ker-grant.pdf We've been playing about a year Have fun playing bridge Bill
  2. I am looking for information on Precision as played by Antony Ker and Alan Grant as described in the following PDF file (BB Ecats notes & CC) http://www.ecatsbridge.com/documents/files...d/ker-grant.pdf In particular definitions of SPINE LEMMING and more information on 1 Diamond opener showing a tri-suited hand 11-15 HCP Google does not have any references except the results at various clubs in New Zealand Thanks for any info Bill
  3. Click on the URL http://www.unit143.org/ There is a section on things to do Bill
  4. The structure we have been using for several years is: 1: transfer to a minor shows 5 and singleton or void, or 6+ 2: 1 Spade is 8-13 bal. After 1 NT (normally 17-19 but can be lots higher) then 2c-both majors 2d-4 h 2h-4 s 2s- 8-10 after 2NT (ask) show 5 card minor 2NT- 11-13 Seems to work most of the time Bill
  5. Hand 1 Intervening passes 1♣ (16+HCP) 2♣ 8+HCP; 5+♦ 2♦ (asks A's; 3+♦) 2♥ One A 2♠ (asks K's) 3♦ (2 K's, same color) 3♥ (asks Q's) 3♠ (1 Q) At this point you can count 13 tricks 2 or 3 spades 3 hearts 5 diamonds 2 or 3 clubs 7 NT Hand 2 1♠ (10-15 HCP; 5+♠) 2♦ (GF 5+♦) 2NT (10-13; hate this treatment) 4♦ (great ♦ still GF) 5♣ (have good cards here) 5♦ (no spade A or heart K; OK) Pass Bill
  6. We play modified DONT over 14-16 NT and stronger Double ♣ or ♦ or ♥&♠ 5-5 ♣ ♣and a higher suit Usually 5-5 ♦ ♦ and a higher Usually 5-5 ♥ 6+♥ ♠ 6+♠ Bill
  7. Our parthership would bid: 1 C! 1 S! 2 D! 3 C! 3 H! 4 C! 7 D 1 C (16+, point light) 1 S (transfer to NT, GF, from Keylime Precision) 2 D (real suit, ask support) 3 C (Qxx or better & 4+ controls, must ave A Ds and at least an A or 2 Ks) 3 H (asks Aces, CRASH relay, Keylime note) 4 C (2 As of the same color, Viking) 7 D (every thing is covered) Got lucky with the 2 diamond bid
  8. At a regional a declarer made a claim that he had the rest of the tricks with no line of play, however, there was an outstanding trump. The TD played the rest of the hand such that we got all but one of the remaining tricks. We only saw our possible trump trick. Then I knew why the TD wa=ere all life masters or better. On-line we would have conceded the claim on the assumption of declarer drawing the last trump. I believe that this can lead to sloppy claiming in tourneys. Bill
