i pretty much agree. the bos never forget and falsecard constantly. they can execute squeeze plays, end plays and dup high cards to keep from being endplayed. are there tricks you can play on them? sure. but there are tricks you can play on human declarers and defenders that work more often. it is prob better to play conservatively but thats not always fun. also the acbl rournaments are prob a better test of your ability( 12 boards) as i said before i play 1 to 3 bot tournaments a day. tom

https://tinyurl.com/y53whh2d opening lead club. rho takes the ace returns a low diamond. i play big spade and rho drops the queeni i went down in a cold contract. this a star challenge. the star got to 5h and opening lead and second the same but when he led the ace the bot played low. he made 5. i think that is too good for me

quite literally on the new softward you can select star challenge under challenges. you play an 8 board robot match and then are matched against a star player. really pretty cool

diana. i never saw any star challenges before the new software. in fact they are still not available on the old software. im talking about the regular gib games, acbl robot games etc i really like the star challenge though.

so far ive played 30 star challenges and it seems to me the software is much better. i dont seem to see the wild and crazy and stupid bidding i have seen before. of course im not sure if this is right. maybe ive just been lucky. does anyone know is there is a change? tom

fwiw i came out ok on this one. i decided to bid 5d as a cue and the north bot passed. this was a clallenge against bots . at the other table the south bot passed the double and the north bot bid 5d. but 4s is incomprehensible to me.

i can tell u he may NOT have 3 hs. in any case why would he bid at all. NO reason whatsoever.

ive been playing the bots a long time now but they ae the worst ive ever seen. they just wont stop and let me play game . i play the acbl tourneys mostly and i can afford it but damm. it just makes me furious when i bid game in a major and the bot bids 4nt or 5 something with CRAP!

i woujld prob get to 4h . but i am a really aggressive bidder . the north hand is better than the south hand (6 losers vs 7 losers). i would respond 2h with the north hand. i know many will not agree but hey nothing works all the time and i like dist hands.

i kib a lot for various. last night i was kibbing a pair i really think are great playing in a team against 2 starred players. after a few hands one of the starred players started saying he thought the south player was "seeing the hands". by the last board his partner was agreeing. they were losing at the time. now i do not believe the south player was cheating in any way. he iw one of the best players on bbo, starred or not. but what do you do? i did send a comment to the other kibs that he NEVER cheats cause he is just too good a player. but i think it is a shame that he got accused with 50 or more kibs looking on(actually with or without). is it up to the players to report to bbo help or should i ? i admit im still bothered by this today. tom

. yep. this am im playingthe acbl imp tourney and twice my bot partner bid to 6 when im off ak in a cashing suit. one time he jumped from 3s to 6 when i have a void opposite ak. of course the bots know what the other bot has so seem to always lead the correct suit. yes. i know richard doesnt believe this but i think i get the better bot players when i play. im sure they realize richard hasnt figured them oout. oh well. i keep trying tom

np im glad to know that. i rarely use the game trys as i just bid the game anyhow. but sometimes i hope to find out a little more about 1 suit in case there is a close slam.

that is amazing. i thought i had noticed the bots revoking a couple of times. but to change the whole hand . unbelievable.
