As someone without 50 posts: Agreed. Also, I'm a lurker here. I have very few posts, but I do read all corners of the forum... Coming from this position: This quote kind of bothers me. I feel like this is a space provided by BBO for discussion of many happy things - all aspects of bridge, the software, whatever we want within reason, etc. As a space provided by BBO, BBO is allowed to try and shape it, to create the environment they want. (And honestly to me, it feels like a fairly permissive one.) Sure, people are allowed to try to use the voting system how they want. Heck, passing out a bunch of upvotes seems like a nice thing to do. I don't really know the people involved here, don't understand motivations fully, etc. However, barmar et al are allowed to determine what they consider abuse of the system. When they do, it's not intellectual censorship for them to do so. It's them keeping the space they provide for us in the shape they want it. We're in their house. As such, it's both respectful, and wise (lest we find ourselves on the doorstep looking in!) to respect their wishes as best we can.
