  1. I don't care who adds/doesn't add me as friend, I just don't want to explain to random people or mild acquaintances why they aren't on my list, when in my opinion this information isn't something they should have access to in the first place.
  2. I thought HMFAG is for people who just want a quick game and don't care who with and are willing to play with randoms? I never use it, but I can't imagine people would use it to be expecting something other than pot luck. If someone wants to play with a friend, can't they search open tables for friends? Or better yet, send them a message and ask to play? (I for one know that BBOers are NOT shy about sending people invites!) So I don't understand why BBO needs to reinvent the wheel to cater to something that in many ways isn't logical.
  3. Speaking for myself and those I have talked to this about, I think the real issue is that if we wanted Facebook, we'd just use Facebook. One of the things I like about BBO is that I don't have to deal with all the social networking nonsense like adding/removing people, accepting/rejecting requests, and the drama associated with. I want BBO to stay a bridge site, not Facebook/Twitter with a bridge theme, and this is the first step towards that, then myself and those I have talked to would be strongly against this movement. My other issue is that it's essentially being forced onto us. On Bridge Winners for example, I do not follow people, I choose not to participate in that. Others can follow me, which is fine, but I choose not follow anyone back. I am just not interested in having a public list of who my friends are. The way the setup is now, I am forced to participate since I can no longer have a private friends list, since anyone can see if they are on it or not. So my choices are: Erase all my friends, accept that people are going to be upset/hurt because I deleted them, or never added them to begin with, or simply refrain from using BBO except when invisible. The friends list was not broken, we don't need to know who is friends with who, that's what Facebook is for. I don't need access to private details and contact info because we are "friends." Why do we need this at all? This is a site to play bridge, and we already have these other tools available to us if we want to use them. If we could put 2 different lists together and could mark someone as friend/following ourselves, THAT would be a nice feature. I could put people I talk to regularly, and play with on friends lists, while putting people I kib and recruit for teams in the following list, this would help my friends list not be as cluttered. I hope you find this feedback helpful
  4. But what right do you have to know if I've marked you as friend or not, and vice versa? I cannot come up with single positive to this but can come up with huge negatives.
  5. Agree 1000%. I do not in ANY way want people to know who I do and don't have marked as friend. That is a major privacy issue and will cause nothing but hurt feelings and drama.
  6. Does this mean anyone who adds me as friend can see if I have them added a well? If so, this is a real problem in my opinion because it essentially gives people access to my friends/enemies list, and that is not something I want.
  7. No i do not register as subs or for anything else, these are just random people from random games I don't even know.
  8. I am fairly certain this is a bug or just an oversight, as I can't believe the software intentionally allows this, however... There are 2 users who were constantly sending me team invitations and/or sub invitations to their games. I reject them all, and mark them as enemies. However days later, they can still do it! Surely marking someone as enemy should block them from sending game requests, otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose of blocking someone you don't want to play with and/or hear from. I don't mean private messages asking for players, I am talking about someone putting my name into a team match and sending a request, I still get them even from those I have blacklisted. I hope BBO can fix this. Thanks!
