  1. The documentation says that recent hands are listed in chronological order. Not so. Last night we played 26 boards (casual area with a couple of friends). There are now 50 lines in my hand history. Working backwards, line 50 contains board 11, 49 contains board 12. Lines 48 to 32 contain boards 1-18 (in reverse order and including different boards 11 & 12). Board 19 I can't find anywhere. Line 31 contains a different board 1 and so it continues. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Trying to find a particular board you would like to discuss with your partner is an almost impossible task. We resort to looking through trying to find the contract. Sometimes it's not there at all. What's going on? I can't believe it's supposed to be like this. Is there any logic to it or am I doing something wrong?
  2. Just tried to calculate checksums using the above then comparing with the original. The result for the board checksums is always 1 out from the original - ie last bit set in original => not set in mine and vice versa. In other words, the seed for the XOR checksum is 1, not zero. In the case of the main checksum it's just the XOR of the lowest and highest board no. Also note that the individual board checksums are three digits not two. These digits are the decimal representation of the single byte checksum. Keith
  3. At pairs, you pick up the following hand: S: KJxxx H: AKxxx D: xx C: x You open 1S and partner responds 3NT which, by agreement, shows "a full blooded raise to 4S". In other words, at least four card spade support, 13+ points but no singleton or void. My question is, with this light opener do you sign off in 4S or are you duty bound to cue bid your first round control in hearts? I guess this is a specific example of a more general question. If you are in a game forcing situation should you always initiate a cue bidding sequence if you have a control you can show below game or do you only do so if you have additional strength that makes you think you might be in the slam zone?
