Because if I was given a visible notice, perhaps with a sound, or anything more than an easily missed box at the corner of the screen, I would not suddenly find myself logged off of a tournament that I paid for, with no way to reconnect. It;s not just me. Customers have been asking for this for a very long time. Do you not understand the request?
I've not seen a popup in express tournaments. Just a small, easy to miss, box in the lower right. Then suddenly, one is logged out completely with no way to rejoin, or even watch, the play. Nothing that catches attention. No audio warning sound.
All I am asking is that BBO give me an audible or clear Visual warning before suddenly completely logging me off in express tournaments. Not a complicated request....
Getting booted out is a major disappointment. Playing in express tournaments I frequently get logged out while considering a difficult bid or play. Racing to quickly act does not promote good bridge. Some sort of audible warning would be a great improvement. I clearly am not alone in this as I notice that by the time an express tournament finishes, 1/3 to 1/2 of the hands are played by robots. Online poker sites all have audible warnings, which works very well.
Playing in express tournaments, I often find myself logged off while thinking about a bid or play. Upon logging in, I find that I cannot return to the tournament. There should better warning before logoff. Also, the ability to rejoin after returning.
In reviewing a traveller from a recent tournament I see two instances where the bidding was identical, but the robot led a different suit in each case. Randomness in lead choices?
I guess that I'll just live without it working. Chrome is the only browser that I have (in Linux), as Firefox will not run BBO due to Flash problems. Choice of browser should not matter to an application, if the application is standards compliant. Perhaps when BBO replaces use of Flash, such problems will go away.
